Because you’ll have to grind a whole new vehicle from stock while everyone else will have one mod to research.

What would they give Swedish Gripen C though? R-Darter? AIM-120A?
To be fair the gripen can basically mount any missile as thats part of the selling point but the swedish one will get Aim 120 and the SAAF will get darter
They didn’t confirm that though? Gripen A could also get Fox 3

Either way, I’m mostly annoyed about having to grind ∼650k RP to fly Fox 3’s in Sweden if they do only give it to Gripen C

I’m sure there’s some unbeatable monster Gripen version with near infinite engine power that pulls 20g at all speeds which Gaijin will be more than happy to add at 13.0.
Okay the likelihood of the atlas cheetah coming next update to replace the SAAF gripen is about as likely as gajin not just copy pasting the gripen on another tt with more CAS options.
Hey lets not kid ourselves gaijin hates having to make new higher brs so itd be 12.7 until they are forced to eventually make a new br.

From what I understand even the Gripen E isn’t that much better than the Gripen A/C manoeuvrability wise, either way both Eurofighter and Rafale is better I think
Bigger aircraft, 8 missiles, ecm, new missiles, new radar, and new engine. Gripen NG would be more unique than the E. Tbf some of the gimbles on the gripen E raven were put into the design of the later rafales.
Yeah it will be a FAR better fighter jet, but not necessarily in a dogfight.
7 Meteors + 2 Iris-T is pretty nutty
EF and Rafale are superior of the Gripen indeed, but it remain a cool and capable plane.

By that point we will see how gaijin handles missiles and if we leave the era of arcade style dogfighting. That type of gameplay is best for customs, arcade, and ace combat.
but then are we expecting dogfights when missiles like IRIS-T ASRAAM and AiM-9X are the norm?
Id have to go looking but it was one of Smins posts talking about why it was pushed back. Upfront it was gonna be this update, but because they made the A identical to the C in game currently, the C would serve no purpose right now, and so they are holding it back until the Fox 3 update. You don’t have to believe me, but I promise you that’s what’s gonna happen
Absolutely. Really cool and unique jet. Extremely capable still even to Eurofighter/Rafale standards in terms of missiles. It has a better wing and engine but is also a lot heavier
