Major Update 'Alpha Strike" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 4)

Prototypes are justified as tech-tree vehicles as the nation in question built them. Well-tested is C&P and doesn’t have any justification.

bonk

Well it’s just a simple assumption. If Python 4 pulls 50G single plane then Derby (which is basically a Python 4 stripped off control surfaces) can’t possibly pull the same amount of Gs.

Afaik Derby is also stated to pull not less than Python 3 which itself pulls 40G.

and its bigger

it doesnt

It does?

combined pull, but it spins (as magic 2 and stingers) - so its always combined pull

combined pull is 75G

tell me it’s 50G

what makes python 4 so deadly is the 90deg HOB

that’s some really nice G forces it can pull

as a non-TVC missile its crazy and now i want it on a ratplane like the F5

made me rememer the AIM9X test video

yeah just a rough calculus tho

matches with the reports of the pilots,
They described a 90deg turn within a second

has shorter range than other missiles like AIM-9X but it reaches top speed faster and its Top G forces much faster than those wich allows this crazy stuff

meh range is still good (looking at IRIST SLM performanc in ukraine)
