when did he say
Awacs have a longer radar range than most fighter jets, if an f35 shoots an amraam at someone the awacs can give it further range by using datalink
Or another f35 can use data link
yeah that works too but its different from the ~SAM one
thats what im pointing at
We arent talking about SAM’s
IR missles are not the same as ARHMs
i explained the SAM one

The two nations were allies in the world war. From the 1930s onwards, the newly-formed Royal Hungarian Air Force was supplied with aircraft by Italy. At that time and in the early stages of the World War, hundreds of Italian military and civilian aircraft were flown by Hungarian pilots (CR-30/32/42; Re-2000; Ca 101/310/135 Ca-75; Fiat G-12) /This is actually what makes the connection with the Italian tree, yet this is what is attached to it at the latest./
In terms of range?
A F35 could fire an AMRAAM to target without even seeing it on radar if an awacs can see the enemy this is done through data link
normal IR missiles do not have 28kms of range, python 5 is closer in performance to an ARH than IR
Let’s forget their minimal connections during CW and limited technical connections post communism… yeah the 5 years of being allied really justified a sub-tree…
ARH, SARH and IR refer to guidance types and have no direct relation to range or flight performance
but python 5 can be guided through radar too, so its a fox…1?
Isn’t datalink quite litterally just a means of connecting one location/object to another location/object?
So no matter if it’s a connection between a radar and a missile or a connection between 2 radars, it would still be datalink.
Less effective range sure, but the passive tracking provided by an IR guided missile is a massive advantage. Python 5 seems to have 40km of range it seems, but with LOAL for BVR ofc.
Ik that when +2 radars focus on an area to find and lock a target, its data link
