I don’t know why they would add AIM-9L/i s, as the aircraft that could use them above 11.3 could just get AIM-9Ms anyways and aircraft below 11.0 shouldn’t get IRCCM in the first place.
There doesn’t seem to be much info about the AIM-9M-8 and 9M-9 available online and from the little bit that I could find they don’t seem like a noticeable upgrade.
About the Mavericks, we definitely don’t need FnF A2G armament with even better seekers than what already is available, so the AGM-65K would be a no. I suppose the G and E-2 could come, but they seem pretty overkill to me, considering they started out as anti-ship/anti-fortification missiles.
The F-5TH started out with the designation F-5T, so thats probably were the confusion started. The upgraded Thai F-5Es were redesignated as F-5TH and the upgraded Singaporean F-5Fs were designated as F-5Ts.
The upgraded Singaporean F-5Es are designated as F-5Ss.
The first batch of upgrades for the F-5Es, the short lived Thai F-5Ts, seem rather pointless to me if all they did is add a HMD and Python-4s.
I don’t think they are coming in the next update though, as their main “selling point” is their abilities to launch BVRAAMs and Japan definitely deserves to get their Mitsubishi F-2.
They usually add some secret vehicles (vehicles that werent shown in the dev-blogs or on the dev-server) and i’m really curious to which vehicles these are going to be.
I’ve been thinking…
Now that we have the F-20 Tigershark, we only need like 2 more planes before having the entire Area 88 collection: either a Humpback A-4E/F or A-4M, and the F/A-18A.
well, currently its still an unused asset in the datamines, and it was leaked by the same guy that got EVERYTHING right, and since it’s a very controversial topic it’s devblog might drop after the update. but what makes me wonder more then it being dropped is…is it gonna a premium or a Tech tree? it makes sense to be a tech tree be cause it will fill a gap between 5.7 and 7.7 and at the same time add a new tank to the suffering 6.7 swedish lineup. but again japanese Tiger 1 and italian tiger 1 were all premiums.
i don’t want to argue, but i mean this thing was owned by the swedish Military and was in service just as a practice target. does it make sense? well it’s better than tested vehicles that’s for sure.
With where WT is going, it would not surprise me if they do a second Area 88 event, but more styled after the Manga/OVAs.
One that would be more involved than just “PvE mode and skins”
I mean, yeah, but a tank is usually built to be used as a fighting vehicle. You don’t use a tank that you want to use in combat as a range target, you use decomissioned vehicles for that.
Did that King Tiger serve the swedish military in some way? Yeah.
Did it serve it’s intended purpose? No.
From what I have read the reason they bought it in the first place was for evaluation. That evaluation went down as follows:
They took it out for driving tests, managed to destroy a couple parts while doing so, had trouble fixing it and transporting it, realised they couldn’t really get the opportunity to test the gun and then decided to use it as a range target for firing tests.
In the end it’s up to gaijin what they do with that King Tiger. I personally would just have added a swedish camo for one of the german King Tigers, but I can see why it would be fun for the swedes to have one too, just not as a TT vehicle.
i mean it’s the only option Lol there’s nothing else but an AMX that wasn’t even owned by the swedish military only tested, and lets skip the part where it was tested the vehicle doesn’t really help majorily .
Funny that, it’s almost like sweden wanted to stay neutral in WW2 or something.
But in all seriousness, I am pretty sure that between Finland, Norway and Denmark you could find something to fill those gaps better than with a range target.
is it not enough that the tank was owned and served in the swedish Military?, i mean you people complained so much about " we do not want tested vehicles for sweden it doesn’t make sense" and when a vehicle that was actually owned and not tested and SERVED ya’ll disagree with it being in the TT, sounds to me like ya’ll don’t want anything for sweden.
edit: by tested i mean tested for the purpose of possibly buying this tank.
They didn’t buy that Tiger because they wanted to use it as a tank. They bought it to research it and when they were done with that they destroyed it by using it as a range target.
How is that a tech tree vehicle?
Even if Sweden went so far as to copy the King Tigers design and reproduce its components I still wouldn’t put that specific King Tiger in the tech tree, it would still be a premium or event vehicle.
