Hey.

We will detail our plans more for FOX-3 when that time comes. For this update, they are just in the early testing stages, with everything subject to change and no definite plans we can reveal at this time.

Thank you. I did indeed.

Not this time. Just climbed Vesuvius and had some amazing Pasta :)

Did spot a Augusta-Bell 212 though. Very cool Italian colours.

This will be determined by what aircraft used them (our own investigations) and any reports under investigation.

Is there any word of the Alpha Jet A getting his 04C20 engines?

with enough upgrades to make it 2 tons heavier

This is not planned for the Alpha Jet we have. The engines it current has are confirmed by the aircrafts manual.

Much like the case with the Tornado GR.1, it can have different engines, but it has the early version engines.

@Smin1080p Do you know/Can you confirm if there will be a 2nd dev before the update drops?

We don’t currently have any news to share on a second dev server.

Is there any way to know which are undergoing active investigation? Since wasting time duplicating bug reports is counter productive for everyone involved.

As far as I know the Hungarian Gripen and the Harrier Gr.7 / AV-8B+ have been seen with the HE-SAP Variant(s) on the Dev server.

And reports for the -65G /-65F seem to either have been closed as duplicates or not a bug, so obviously weren’t entered into the Suggestion / bug report queue.

So are there any more Alpha Jet A planned that could recieve this engine? Because the version we have now is the most advanced variant besides the engines.

The GR.1 was upgraded to the GR.4. The Alpha Jet A has no more future upgrades.

Currently the Hungarian JAS 39C and Harrier GR.7 have them.

The AV-8V and SAAF Gripen have reports under investigation. Its possible in the future, other aircraft may be expanded with them too, if information is located that confirms they had them.

Right now, we don’t have any new / other variants to mention. For the time being, there wont be further versions.

The GR.1 / GR.4 are different variants entirely. The GR.1 had several modifications over its life, of which it has several in game. But it retains the early engines. So its the same case as the Alpha jet, and also other aircraft in game that have multiple engine choices possible. Right now, the engines are matching the manual specs and the developers have selected these as the version for the A model in game.

I guess my point is, even though the GR.1 has the MK101 engines, it’s known that GB players will eventually get a Tornado with the MK103 engines (the GR.4). For the Alpha Jet A, this isn’t really the case. There were no more variants of the Alpha Jet for Germany. The reality is what it has now is probably what it will always have, because there are no more variants.

I understand that the manual says the Alpha Jet used the 04C5 engine (and it did) and I understand the developers have made the choice to go with that engine, I just don’t understand why, given the Alpha Jet A’s situation. There is plenty of primary and secondary evidence that says the Alpha Jet A used the 04C20 engines.
