And I am expecting them to get something very much akin to that by March/June.
I’m expecting early Typhoons (either early as in early production or pre-production/prototype) in either the June or September update, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the December update introduced AESA radars at the rate we’re going.
Except we’d be getting our first fox 3 variants by then. The level of radar tech and fox 3 technology would be mismatched. AESA radar with AIM-120A.
russia would get PESA radar most likely but also god no if they get PESA and AESA we would get a tranche 2 EFT most of the systems on the tranche 1 wouldn’t be modelled
I have two questions for all you radar nerds here: how do AESA and PESA radars detect targets, and how do they lock onto them?
Not necessarily. MICA, R-77 and PL-12 are apparently more akin to Aim-120Cs (at least that is what I’ve seen discussed). So they might just do a round of Aim-120Bs for very early aircraft like FA2, AV-8B, etc in March, and then maybe Cs with AESA in June. Its impossible to know. But 3 nations will need Typhoon, 1 Will need Rafale and 1 will need Gripen E at some point. 5 nations cant go an entire year with absolutely nothing to replace the top tiers they’ve gotten this year (which for italy was actually last year) just because 2 nations need better than them to be “fair”
We know that the J-8F will get PL-12s with the first ARH missiles.
Yep
If it looks stupid and it sound stupid but works, it isn’t stupid. Thank you for that.
What’s the difference between AESA and PESA?
uhhhhhh i believe PESA picks up enemy radar? Im not sure sure
The name seems to imply that.
A PESA contrasts with an active electronically scanned array (AESA) antenna, which has a separate transmitter and/or receiver unit for each antenna element, all controlled by a computer; AESA is a more advanced, sophisticated versatile second-generation version of the original PESA phased array technology. Hybrids of the two can also be found, consisting of subarrays that individually resemble PESAs, where each subarray has its own RF front end. Using a hybrid approach, the benefits of AESAs (e.g., multiple independent beams) can be realized at a lower cost compared to true AESAs.
They aren’t adding 12.7 together with SU27??
LMAO… RIP every 11.3 ingame.
As they said, they may.
Ever want to play 11.3s again? you have less than 3 hours
Just getting ready for work, so my 11.3 career is already over…
I’m happy I rushed through the F-4J really quickly earlier this week.
