I don’t find ERA is that evil for top tier APFSDS, besides Relikt or Kontakt-5 against weaker shells.
A low profile is quite neat but since you absolutely have to expose the turret roof in order to ever fire at an enemy…

i didnt say it works well xD, just like the PUMA the whole model is broken, somehow gajin was able to duck those 2 completly up but the 2S38 of course seems without problems, heck they made it to strong initaly and left its bugs in for quite a while

it must of been a direct order to NOT make thermal targeting pods. idk how else to understand how a ‘modern’ airforce can lack something that many consider essential to modern CAS
Played it past today since i got it. From what i seen, gun is finaly shooting streight. APC so far was never activated. And feel like most of my shots just dont register at all.
I swear some of y’all argue on the forums more then you actually play WT

Well i have never used the best shells against Relikt but i know that the T80bvm is a very nice top tier
I’m still wondering if the PD radar version had countermeasures since finding evidence of that has proven difficult.
That and at the end of the day, F-15J is easier to research while being the same BR.

I’m the only user of that vehicle I’ve ever seen. I still see more Rooikat then it. I’ve just been trying to spade it because it floats.

Yeah agreed. Though XF-2A always had provisions for countermeasures but i do sgree that F-15J seems like the more logical progression for Japan

Where NATOs battleplan is based around air superiority and heavy SEAD
Soviets I think have always been to rely more heavily on SAMs and Artillery instead (at least that is what we’ve seen so far in a certain conflict)
We also saw years of infantry based CAS in the middle east that radically changed western doctrines. High powered thermal optics are essential for that. Soviets never faced something like that and therefore never needed it. Aircraft like the Tornado Gr4 were specifically developed to be better platforms for CAS as the Tornado was never designed for it originally
The best example of what no countermeasures is like: F-4F Early vs F-4F Production.
It’s been precedence longer than that, but best example of the issue.
