Well there’s video footage of an ALARM missile blowing up a 9K33 during testing. Not to mention the Tornado tactics manual explicitly states ALARM should be used against mobile SAM systems.
So that should be evidence that SPAA can be engaged by ARMs.
thats why you check from PSO, it has the UFP add on armor as well and theoreticaly should be the same but isnt. comparison with 2a6 as you said isnt possible since it is missing the add on
never mounted radar, or a gun, or half the missiles it had, or its IRST so no it isn’t dumb when they add a jet that barely matches what it actually had
In all these years since Strv 122’s introduction, I’ve never seen a Strv 122 being killed by being hit in the glacis armor after the add-on modules were removed, and I have never experienced it myself either…
I don’t even know if it would work or if it’s just a visual thing, since, well, I’ve never had it happen to me, nor have I seen it happening anywhere.
So… I would hardly say that’s a reason to say 2A7V’s armor would be much better than Strv 122’s in practical terms.
Because when 3 tanks stand out in terms of capabilities, the solution is to add more tanks with similar capabilities for the nations that lack them; until no tank stands out anymore, since everyone has similar ones in capabilities.
Basically, this is about giving other nations counterparts with equal capabilities.
Or is the solution to never again add any tank with similar capabilities to those 3 tanks, so that those 3 continue to stand out unopposedly?
they already confirmed for naval all they need is the keel to have been laid down hence why we have a soviet battle criuser and why we will get things like HMS lion and H-38
