So with the F-2 radar being too advanced I guess this is the end of the line for the Japanese air tree.

The F-2 was denied for awhile as the radar is too advanced.
Maybe they will add more F-15J’s but yea the air tree is going to be dead for like 1 year +
I read about that, but AFAIK that’s so far only planned and not produced yet, with the actual capabilities more rumored than known? I might have missed info on it though, but would be cool if that came to the TT eventually. The Vilkas was rumored to be an event vehicle in another leak, so that would make sense to me.

F-2 itself might be, but XF-2 with PD radar could be added right now, especially with AAM-3s. Basically, I’m saying there’s other stuff they can add here and there before the F-2.
Technically they could add the F-2 with just AAM-3s and it’d be fine, especially if we get more comparable maneuverable planes.
