F15J never used AIM120s they made it use thier own missile later but they could always do a barak 2
Just add 100mm KE and about 200mm CE (Leos are already underperforming a lot in terms of CE protection so take it with a grain of salt, anything between 50-300 or more is possible) to the Strv 122 hull.
It is compatible with them, and that is all that matters.
at the current pase well be at part 4 in 3 days
Only two if we get the teaser tomorrow.
That why i think the Gripen gonna get 9Ms even though it never used them
yes that’s true
F-15Cs in general didn’t use AMRAAMs. MSIP did, and F-15J was equipped with them for testing.
Japan chose to develop their own ARH.
Also Gripen did use them. There are photos all across the Internet, and 9Ms are in the manual & advertising for compatible missiles.
you’re the first person to say this
Either only planned or fake list based on the fact that CZ never operated a single Su-27.
I thought it used the 9Ls then went to IRST or whatever it name is i forgot
surely you will post them
Sweden will most likely get AIM-9M on their Gripen anyway
At this point I honestly start to realise that it isn’t the 2A7V that is the problem, but the SEPv2.
They skipped so many Leopard 2 variants to jump to the 2A7V, they would have been better off just skipping to the SEPv3 as well.
I’m not the first person, the manufacturer is.
F-15C entered service in 1978, F-15J in 1981.
AMRAAMs are 1991.
I mean, must I remind you of F4F late?
That proves Texas correct.
so for 2 years R-27R was one of the best NATO missiles?
I am aware
The modernization program also opens up three new weapons to Hungary’s Gripens: the GBU-49 Enhanced Paveway II dual-mode (laser, GPS/inertial) guided bomb, the IRIS-T within visual range air-to-air missile, and the long-range MBDA Meteor. Hungary ordered the IRIS-T in December to replace the current AIM-9M Sidewinder, the European missile offering significant engagement envelope improvements, as well as better flare rejection performance.
