Major Update “Air Superiority” - Rumor Round-Up and Discussion (Part 3)

the T-14?

can it be considered a new gen tank?

But it isnt a new gen tank, still only a gen 3++ one. Not a true gen 4 like Kf51 ,T-14, abrams x, embt, mgcs etc

Apparently it is shrug

is the KF51 really a Gen 4 and not just a Spacey design Gen 3+?

also when tf did they start with generations for tanks

Tis indeed.

Quite a while ago, though it’s not any less ambiguous as for planes.

Gen 4, it hasnt finished development yet, but 130mm, planned unmanned turret, aps , drone usage and they are working on the new chassis

Theyre actually the same ERA plates from the 2A4 Evolution on top of the improved composites

for planes there is at least a solid reason for every generation

I hope they’re also working on making it look a little less like COD Advanced warfare

Well the turret is finished, so that aint happening

  1. Yes it does. Adds about 100mm of KE so 880m

  2. No. It would only effectively be better armored once the hull addon armor is shot off and even then only against stuff like 3BM46 or DM43. Everything above 550mm pen will pen easily at normal range.

I can’t wait for the new rank of tanks to be added just to get the worst one of the bunch

But that Western ERA which in game will be useless

Its still an additional 35mm of armor which will make a difference
(Even though its rated up to 35mm cannons)

I’m more interested in what will happen after those tanks get added

wouldn’t ground then be at the maximum possible?

meanwhile the air is still stuck in the 80s

BR pairing will be very interesting too

Yes. T-14 is a fast main tank with modern systems that focus heavily on crew protection.
Russian military spending & training being inefficient doesn’t mean the tank itself isn’t good.
This is a reminder that USA operates less armored vehicles & aircraft variants than Russia.
USA is more efficient in its military spending than Russia is and we have more vehicles to show for it too.
Germany is even more efficient even tho Rheinmetall maintains 3 - 5 variants of Leopard 2 instead of the 1 variant of Abrams General Dynamics maintains.

There’s still the 130/140/152mm gun armed prototypes that some nations have, and they could always give a little more functionality to NLOS missiles.
