Mac Controller Joystick Axis values broken

Using a PS5 controller on an M5 MBP - joystick axis values don’t function properly. Looks like the joystick values are going into an overflow state. With the stick centered (physical axis) the logical axis is all the way to one side, making controllers unusable on Mac.

It’s a shame because I’d love to be able to play Air Sim on my laptop

Mac joystick axis problems “all the way to one side” are a ten years old bug.

Back then, I was running Snow Leopard on a 24" iMac.

You don’t want to hear this but, the only way I fixed this was to install Windows on a partition of my hard drive then install the Windows version of War Thunder.
