M829A4:The most powerful bullet against the Russian multi-layer Era

Basically, yeah. It’s a round specifically designed to make Relikt a dead weight 100% of the time as per BUNDESTAG’s demands for Rheinmetall, suggesting Relikt can somehow deal with it is either ignorance or blind bias.

It is the truth

Does that actually work tho? I find it hard to believe

Are there any 120mm APFSDS that have a greater muzzle velocity than 1705 m/s?

French 120mm (in game, so F1 and G1) darts from Leclerc are all above 1700m/s by a significant amount.

Why? Are you an expert in metallurgy and armor design? ERA is decades old technology it’s not some sophisticated solution for protection, it’s a bandaid fix.

Let’s take the higher ground and just use the US government’s claims for this

A4: Provides OVERMATCH versus current and future enemy tanks with ERA and APS

Okay but what about A3?
“Capable of defeating tanks equipped with ERA”
Sounds like 100% to me if it’s a head on shot

https://jpeoaa.army.mil/Portals/94/JPEOAA/Documents/JPEOAAPortfolioBook_2017.pdf

Let’s check the patent on A3 shal we?

" In addition and in accordance with this disclosure, nose 34 is comprised of solid steel, e.g., solid stainless steel. Nose 34 does not include depleted uranium. Because of its solid design, nose 34 will perforate ERA cover plates, ignite the explosive material, and absorb the initial energy from the moving ERA cover plates without significantly bending the main penetrator rod of the assembly. As the ERA cover plates move, the cover plates erode away nose 34 rather than damaging main penetrator rod 32 …"

Sounds like it’s more than just 25%
I’m just surprised people are worrying about something that would prove that there isn’t russian bias in this game. Surely it would PROVE that Russian faction players are just better if other factions were given properly implemented tech.

I’m sure it would pleasure you to know that the concept of ERA isn’t a soviet one, but originally Israeli. And you’d think the creators of ERA would have kept using it…

Instead, Israel have adopted SLERA, which is a heavy composite RA designed to shred shells and chemical warheads through sheer density whike taking multiole hits and remaining effective.
And then you look at russia, who are still using primitive ERA panels to make up for lacklustre armour coverage.

The first patent is in fact German lol. It was made in 1956’ish, Germans knew how to defeat Kontakt-5 by 1970 already, 15 before before the Soviets adopted it.

NII Stali statements don’t exactly line up with yours. I’d rather trust a reputable research agency of the Russian federation over some random guy online

That’s a claim. We don’t have sources on whether it is true based on real test footage

literal Oxymoron. Id trust my local Tasseography lady over any modern russian “research” agency

If you say so. That is your own viewpoint.

Lol

How is describing bad ERA as ‘primitive’ an insult??? mitä vittua

Even western scientists do shady stuff sometimes to get their research papers published in a research paper in certain fields, so I wouldn’t even want to know what researchers in a far more corrupt nation could do.

Its not just corruption almost more important are press freedom and freedom of science. I bet that any russian researcher coming to the conclusion that ERA is primitive cope would be conducting research on the steel quality of siberian jail cell bars or the terminal velocity of falls from 4th floor windows soon after.
