Balance. Do you want every Russian K-5 tank dropped in BR? If you bothered to think before crashing out you would realize that the single thing Russian tanks have going for them is their armour, if you introduce a round that negates a large part of that protection they are going WAY down in BR.

That’s not what he said. Relikt’s resistance to long rod armor-piercing rounds has been increased from 1.7 to 2.25, and its resistance to HEAT rounds has been increased from 7.75 to 9. Correspondingly, Kontakt-5’s effectiveness against M829A3 has been reduced from 0.8 to 0.5.
We’ve already investigated those claims & they’re wrong.
You’re omitting data.
The change only impacts side ERA when angled.
AKA when the tank is angled ~30 degrees - ~50 degrees as a primary example.
This change has no impact on good - meta MBT rounds as they’ll just over-pen anyway, & the change is a minor fix to the under-performing nature of side ERA.
What does not change:
1- Front ERA remains identical.
2- Side ERA when shot flat remains identical.
Only for K-5 tanks relikt tanks are another story, i have one and they barely protect against regular sabots, also when im playing m1s i mostly get killed by leopards and other nato MBTs anyway

Who aims at a T80 roof top when facing it straight?
person that can aim. also it helps nuking them when they try hulldown. you cannot perform such trick with most other MBTs except Chinese (doggo arietes don’t count)

You forgot that only soviet/russia is the only nation with armored roof top? Didn’t you see the ERA at the top?
Also if you’re gonna shoot at the roof top and take out only one crew or you can shoot at the LFP and disable the whole tank or kill it even.

Both show hidden armor modules in russian mbts that dont show in the normal game. Also shows some other concerning data that creates an unfair advantage.
I mean it’s a pretty strong and reliable weakspot to hit even if you are facing it straight on.
