As is also AS 42 27/32 but is found at BR 2.0. While M8 LAC which is faster, more armed thanks to the .50 calibre which can destroy all Rank 1 vehicles, and has more armour but is at BR 1.0… There is obviously a problem…

So far you haven’t said anything relevant to the M8 LAC issue, you’ve gone off on your own head without giving physical evidence as to why M8 LAC needs to be at BR 1.0… By now everyone with a brain knows that M8 LAC should not be at BR1.0. and no point in denying this fact.
It could be BR 1.3 though not that it’d make much difference. What about 1.7?
1.7 or 2.0 should be fine.
I mean the BT-7M is also 2.0 with hardly any improvement over the BT-5 at 1.0.

I agree with you on the M8 LAC… However, there are 2 choices for M8 LAC:
Either put it at BR 1.7or 2.0.
Or put it at BR 2.3, but add the ability to do scouting.
Either choice is fine with me.
It would need to be Rank 2 to get scouting.
And considering it’s a 1942 vehicle, it should be Rank 2, get scouting and be played like a scout car 🤔
It’s silly that the Sd. Kfz 222 in the Chinese tree is 1.0 from like 1936.
I mean they made it into an SPAA, but still. It’s a scout car just like the M8 and I think I’ve shot down more planes using the .50cal than the slow firing 20mm.
There are already vehicles at BR 2.3 but with Rank 2, so if the players want this vehicle to have the ability to do scouting that’s fine with me. If not you put it at BR 1.7 or 2.0 without the ability to do scouting, either way would solve the problem
Man, a lot of salty bois scared about the M8 getting moved where it belongs. It has crazy good armor for as thin as it’s listed, good mobility, a 50 that can shred anything at 1.0, and a decent 37mm. It really shouldn’t struggle that much at 2.3, with scouting. 2.0 is probably the minimum rank it should be at though. China isn’t a great starting nation, but I don’t think only having the T-26 would be too bad, maybe give it 3/3 spawns or something.
Eh in my opinion it could go to 1.3 maybe 1.7 but it’s mostly fine. The Americans don’t have as strong of a lineup at 1.0 as 2.7 so I usually use it there. 2.7 is much too high for it but it can still be used (albeit with a different style). It would have been fine at 2.0 with it’s stabiliser but now it doesn’t get it 1.7 max.
In reality it never had the stabiliser they did well to take it out of the game.
This vehicle can easily go to BR 1.7 even without the stabiliser, it’s the right BR.
If they gave it the ability to do scouting it could go to BR 2.3. But as you have noticed, and as many in this forum have noticed, there are too many salty copium user children, who can’t accept that their precious OP vehicle is rightly taken to its highest BR.
My word, you people aren’t going to be happy until they release a gamemode where both teams sit in (static) bunkers and lobbing shells across the map.
The M8 is actually fairly well armored, beating out quite a few vehicles. It also has 4 crews compared to vehicles like the BTs.
You are conflating ‘well armoured’ with bad aim.

But have you read the whole conversation? We are considering Rank 1 vehicles… In this context, M8 is not as armourless as you claim, there are several vehicles of Rank 1 that literally have no armour and have entire crew exposed and can be killed with a 7.62mm, machine gun while if you fire this machine gun at M8 it survives.
And the m103 can be one shot by a 37mm shot to a spot on the back of the turret, whats your point?
I think moving it up in BR and to rank 2, giving it scouting would be fair. I’ve used the American M8 a bit, and it is probably the best 1.0 tank.
