M8 greyhound 50 cal

Why is the 50cal on both the American and Chinese being held up by only the ammo belt, it doesn’t have the thing under all other 50cals holding the ammo box up.

I think you misunderstand what he meant; he is asking about the ammo box itself. On the M8 greyhound it is just floating in the air next to the gun, as can be seen here:

The MG mount/cradle assembly is missing/not rendering.

Better question:
How is this monster with both AT cannon and a .50cal 1.0?

They put the Staghound AA at 2.0 and it only has two .50cals.

A .50cal shreds anything that isn’t a Pz III or French tank alone, lol.
Not to mention you can fire it while hull and turret are completely behind cover.

Even the M8 HMG is 1.3, while being straight up worse.

I’ve always thought that light reconnaissance vehicles should stick to their intended role: reconnaissance. They could be more effective at detecting enemies, given their higher Battle Rating, thus prioritizing reconnaissance over destroying them. It’s also true that the game’s poor maps don’t offer much of an advantage, as reconnaissance would be more useful on larger, better-designed maps where a light vehicle reporting enemy movement would be truly valuable. This would also give some importance to the crews’ radio range. It is a mistake by the developers not to give the reconnaissance vehicles their real use.

because it is a chinese reserve tank and they can’t think of another tank to replace it.

That won’t annoy the important/tempermental Chinese player base.

I think USA should have the M8 LAC(early) at 1.0 as tech tree and send the demonic M8 currently in game to 2.3

The .50 isn’t there so it is essentially the last piece of the 37mm reserve tanks for USA: M2A4 for the middle ground, LVT with the cracked survivability, M8 with the mobility but worst firepower
