M6a1

It’s not about designs, its about the Panthers being under tiered.

its just german mains dont know how to use their tanks to their fullest.

If German tanks weren’t undertiered the German win rate would be ~20% at all BR ranges. German players are statistically not good.

This is the tank we’re talking about if you didn’t know.

It has two cannons, and can bait people. It is reasonably speedy for a heavy. M62 shot is a great shell for 5.0.

I know what an M6A1 is, I’m not fking stupid. Use buildings/hills to hide your weak spots

You said you could angle your armor.

This makes your armor less effective in the M6A1.

It’s on par with the KV-85 yeah.

The KV-85 is 4.7

I think the M6A1 should also be 4.7

How?

No? Also we both know that the KV-85 is under BR’d

4.7 is a BR range that balances out 4.3 tanks and 4.0 tanks

3.3-5.3 is probably the most popular BR range since it’s the WW2 tanks and it’s where things start taking a little effort to grind

KV-85 can be penned as easily as the M6A1, both should be the same BR, both fit fine at 4.7 and aren’t impossible to kill.

Those higher BR M4S need to switch the BR with M6A1 and T1e1…

The M4A3 (76) W has access to APCR and has the best engine of the three w/ 15.2 hp/t

Its suspension is also the best combining with the stabilizer to be very accurate.

It works fine in a 5.7 lineup w/ the Jumbo / M18 / M36B2

The M4A2 (76) W has the M4A3’s better armor and fits well at 5.3 w/ the Jumbo / M36 / T1E1

The odd duck in the US late WW2 tree is the M6A1 as at 5.0 it has no effective lineup. Why would you bring it over the T1E1?

Moving the M6A1 to 4.7 allows it a small lineup with the M4A1 (76) W and M42 Duster.

Its increase to 5.0 is unjustifiable.

Not really. Most people apart from new players know this trick.

Have you ever used this tank?

Yes. You use buildings to HIDE YOUR WEAKSPOT. Then, once the enemy has shot you, you push out and kill them.

Relying on an opponent’s mistake isn’t a sound strategy in my opinion.

The Jumbo which has much heavier armor and only one true weakspot which is located on the left side machinegun port is something I would consider your strategy to make sense with as being only located on the left side and rather low it is possible to “hide” it using map terrain occasionally.

Not every map is close urban combat though and the M6A1’s weakspots are both larger than the Jumbo’s and unlike the Jumbo’s singular spot is located on both the left and right side of the tank. This is ignoring that its frontal armor is easily penetrated by most tank destroyers at its BR range and several heavy / medium tanks unlike the Jumbo.

The M6A1’s placement at 5.0 is not justified.

Correct, the Jumbo is .3 BR above it as well.

Jumbo is easily penned by most TDs at it’s BR too

Yes it is. Take the VK 30.02 for example, same BR. Better gun, worse armour, better maneuverability, less crew. 5.0 is balanced for it.

Depends on whether you’re lucky with your wiggle

VK’s gun is exceptionally better and so is its mobility.

uh what? No, it depends on whether you get an enemy who knows what they’re doing.

I literally just stated that.

Your opponent being bad is also a marker for your luck
