Germany could just idk? Get something that isn’t an M44? Like hummel
Absolutely this. Copy-paste should only be used to fill gaps that can’t be filled with domestic equipment.
This is just peak Gaijin laziness.
Yeah Germany has loads of indigenous vehicles to cover this BR.
The GDR operated the T-34-85 and IS-2 post war also, will we see them copy pasted into the German tree?
Yep. Even the French didn’t need this. They’ve got several potential SPG’s as well:
- AMX-PRA
- Cn-155-F3-Am
- Lorraine 155 mm model 1951
So we’ve got 3 pointless copy-pastes for nations that had alternatives.
Unironically I think it’s quite possible.
Vehicles like this get my juices flowing more than any Gen 4 jet. Laughing at how many guys they’ve just got chilling in there. Going to be an interesting experience protecting this thing from CAS, but I’m here for it.
While you’re not wrong, nothing is stopping Gaijin from adding those in the future. I’ll take some copy and paste goodness for the time-being.
This excuse was fine in the past, but it’s never really panned out that way.
Has for China… 2019 - copy and paste city (which was a reason to try the tree itself, you got the best of both worlds), and they’ve added a ton of domestic vehicles since that point. All things considered, apart from the recent addition of the Leopard 2 and this upcoming M44, France has had it pretty good for uniqueness and exclusivity. The only downside of that is the many complaints from those using the vehicles that this uniqueness isn’t what they want (such as non-stabilized solid shot shooting goodness). Be thankful that they’ve continued to add vehicles like the AMX-10M/P and they’re finally going to add the VBCI. France is eating good in the ground tree, and will continue to do so - copy and paste or not.
Those require effort though. So not gonna happen.
Unique techtrees are a relic of the past.
It was like this because it was a exclusive nation for the Chinese servers. It’s only after it was added to the global client this changed.
But hey, lets keep watering down trees with copy-paste instead of domestic vehicles.
exactly. once theres something that fills a spot, theres nearly no incentive to add something unique that does the same job, at least not within a time period that is reasonable. we will see something unique in about 3-4 years going by other such cases.
cause in the 1950’s, Germany was split between East and west where the US provided the West with some equipment…
Good because you are going to have to grind it out six. times.
Yep. It’s another reason why I hate copy-paste. It’s just an easy way for Gaijin to inflate the grind.
Gladly.
Or well I won’t be grinding all 6 of them, not right away at least.
UK - Top priority, going for this one as soon as the update drops.
US - I’ll probably do it as soon as I’m done with what I’m currently working on, but it’ll be a more casual grind for it.
Japan - It looks like it’ll be mighty useful for line-ups so I have to grab it over the want for the other two nations, tho being one of my back burner nations I won’t be getting it soon.
France - Being part of the BeNeLux stuff so I’m 100% going to get it but like Japan, it being one of my secondary nations it won’t be any time soon.
Germany & Italy - Unlike the other I’m not grinding them currently so I don’t expect to have them until long after their addition has been anything of note.
They should make exact copies available for purchase in other nations once you researched it in one. Imo it won’t affect economics much, you still have to research all the previous vehicles in the line and purchase them for SL, plus it mostly help old players who already researched at least one nation.
Nice! More filler that no one asked for!
nah I have them in wot lol
I wouldn’t be as upset if they hadn’t fuked up the uniforms on ALL of the crews across all of the nations. US: Artillery didn’t use tanker CVCs. Japan: Modern kit in a '50s era gun. Italy/France/Britan: But it an’t 1939 either.
Also, the lack of loading animation from them is painfully obvious since you are literally looking down on them all the time.
Maybe they will fix the above before it goes live… lol.
