I think WW2 SPH’s will still come, its just a matter of what models they have.
we know, they have to come eventually, but it’s frustrating seeing how modern (not even really cold war) gets all the love while ww2 is practically abandoned

M44 is a unique vehicle not seen in WT before.
Hit “R” prior to firing and you’ll find out if they’re friendly or not.
I agree with this to an extent. It can work with ground AB and RB but it comes at the sacrifice of ground SIM where sometimes you dont have time to use the rangefinder to give you an IFF.
Plus TTs should have their unique vehicles prioritized first and then if there are gaps, copy paste vehicles can be used. Very much the way theyre adding SPAAs to diffent trees that are duplicates, becuase they added unique vehicles amd now they’re plugging the gaps.
Even when M7 comes, it will probably go to a magnitude of tech trees, of the top of my head, US, Italy, China, etc…
yea and I don’t really like that unless those nations really need it
but come on, you’ll agree that the leopard copy-paste, for example, is absolutely ridiculous

Prove that its ready? It fills the same role as the M44. If the M44 can come then so can the Hummel, sexton, and priest. I dint need to be a dev to be able to say that having a variety of vehicles unique to separate trees is always better than putting the same vehicle in multiple trees to fill the same role.
I don’t mind there additions, but the context of there additions is ridiculous when there are multiple domestic vehicles that could be added beforehand.

Tthis is the thing I’ve been saying, if you want to do copy paste to fill gaps, fine do it. But don’t do copy and paste before even trying to add a nations unique vehicles!

It is indeed sad that many WW2 models are still missing, even now 10+ years after the game launched.
I really hope they will be added.
But, soley from a business perspective, these vehicles that were operated by many countries can be added much quicker (by ctrl+c ctrl+v) and are therefor not as resource intensive and more lucrative.
It comes with the huge downsize of lack of originality.
And sadly that will be the trend going forward. The last few subtrees were all for the sake of copy-past, and of all the vehicles added with them only a handful are really original. (Finnish, Hungary, BeNeLux, now Thai)
Fresh example is the Strela:
Germany, Italy and Britain(?) get it.
Germany I 100% agree with, as the GDR operated them.
Italy gets it just because they have the 50% copy-paste Hungary-subtree in it.
And Britain gets it because of India? Far stretch. (And the British-main complain when the German players ask for something Swiss)
Also the Thai Subtree, while bringing needed options to the Japanese Tree, is also mainly composed of copied vehicles. I would not be suprised if the Thai Ground Tree will also be mainly copy-paste.
Although it does look like Gaijin is working towards originality (Chinese T-26 finally changing to proper model after years of wait)
it’s a bit ridiculous that we have to wait several years to update one (1) tank model that has been in the game for ages, while in each update there’s a very high chance of a “new” leopard, chally, or whatever being added

I agree if you need gaps filled and there are no original vehicles that can fill it, copy paste is good. (Like the Thai sub tree) But considering there are multiple original vahicles that could come instead, this copy paste is definitely not needed, especially when there are some vehicles that people have been asking for those other vehicles.
I bet money on that they only updated the tt T-26 model and not the prem one…
in the stream they mentioned they also updated the premium vers, tho I wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t the case XD
Yeah this just doesn’t cut it. As you mentioned, its years too late and it doesnt really add anything new to the game or tree. I’m happy to see it, yes. Thats not what my issue here is though.
