Why are the Chinese and American M24s Rank II, while the Japanese, Italian, and Swedish ones are Rank III?
I was grinding the event these past couple of days and noticed that some M24s count toward progress while others don’t. Then I realized that the Chinese and American M24s are Rank II. If you argue that the Swedish Danish M24 has better armor protection because of added armor, then why are the Japanese and Italian M24s, which are identical vehicles, Rank III and can be used for event progress? Did Gaijin make a mistake during the last BR/rank adjustment? Surely you’re not going to tell me this is Gaijin treating nations differently on purpose?

BR needs to decide rank rather than “How many vehicles are in front of this”.

BR changes are implemented with minor updates
Rank or other TT placement related changes are implemented with major updates only
Gaijin sometimes announced Rank changes during BR balancing, but those changes will then only be implemented during the next major update
Gaijin announced during the most recent round of BR balancing that all Rank II Chaffees will be moved to Rank III
Hence: All Rank II Chaffees will be moved to Rank III with the next major update, which comes out in roughly a month
Edit: much to my frustration, the exception to this is the AMX-13-M24, which they have inexplicably decided to keep at Rank II, despite me suggesting it in the same post as all other M24’s.

So you take the hull of a 4.3 rank III tank and put the turret of a 4.0 rank III tank on top and the result is rank II??? Makes sense.
By that stupid logic the M4A1 FL10 should be rank I because the hull is the M4A1 which is rank II.
