Yes, theres videos about that(from crew) and maybe documentation(idk)
How interesting is that Gaijin refuses to implement this system while ignoring to fix multiple inaccuracies.
Well, they have their way of “realism”
Aint that the truth.
That’s not the bottom of the turret. Not what I was talking about and not to do with the picture of the bottom of the turret posted.
You already agreed that we don’t know what the interior geometry of the bit I’ve been talking about is so we can’t just assume that the whole neck is 300mm without further photographic/verified schematics that allow us to see in that section.
As for the ring on the hull I will need to test this claim that the entire cross section is being treated as the same thickness regardless myself.
As far as protection analysis can tell (can’t test it in-game yet) the ring on the hull is indeed all being treated as the same thickness which a bug report for this has already been accepted. This is still separate from what I was trying to discuss about the neck on the bottom of the turret as I stated however.
Ok noted
The picture that SPANISH_AVENGER show is the part of the turret ring armor on the “hull” which sit next to the turret ring combine with turret ring on turret is what we refer to when we recall it having over 300mm LOS
Welp we also can’t just assume that the whole neck (included turret ring armor on the hull is just 50mm) either. Only that Gaijin didn’t model them as volumetric. So the whole part has only 50mm value as of now. Even though according to Gaijin own modeling the LOS are more than 290mm+ as a whole
I don’t know why you guys keep trying to convince Casino, even if he’s convinced nothing going to change, even Trickzzter acknowledged the bug report and Casino still acting dumb as usual, just ignore him and carry on with the topic.
Also crazy how wood got more thickness than the turret ring.

Like I said and as avenger conceded when it comes to the neck on the bottom of the turret we simply do not have any evidence at this moment that would allow the thickness to be known due to lacking the internal geometry/cross section.
As for the turret ring on the hull side as I’ve said I agree that in my limited testing it appears to be a flat value across that cross section even when the thickness does vary in the in-game model. This has already be accepted and passed on in a bug report though anyway so there isn’t anything to contend here.
If you think this is fair and balanced and fun, you and any other Abrams hater can take it elsewhere.
Strange how accurate they are for other nations. Just look at the Panthers. They exactly care on what version or sub-versions had engine limiters or reduced turret traverse. Now Panther pre production prototype and early D model are the best ones (not limited at all). While more advanced late Panthers had real life limiters to enhance service time of engine and transmission parts. Despite maintenance is not implemented ingame, Gajin gladly took over all speed limitations. So those late Panthers at higher BRs are strangely the worst ones.
Same should happen with these T-tanks. I know these vids. The ingame T-tanks are designed after factory brochures or single tanks presented on defense tech fairs and trials. Instead they should model them after service tanks. There are, for obvious reasons, alot vids from intact russian tanks, where you can see their real performance.
I watched this replay earlier today and you absolutely deserved what happens given you decided to overexpose yourself because you picked your spawn camping spot to be on slightly too great of an incline.
Pick your spawn camping locations better next time maybe with a slightly shallower incline and you won’t need to needlessly expose more of your tank than necessary to get the depression to kill the guy in spawn.
You’re right clearly it isn’t your fault that you picked a poor section of terrain to spawncamp on, when you could’ve moved to a different area where you could spawncamp and not have to overexpose yourself.
It’s everybody elses fault aside from yours, you’re so hard done by.
Pick your spawn camping location better next time.
Yes you were top of the team because you immediately rushed over to somewhere you could shoot into their spawn. I never said anything about your position on the team.
I guess the rest of the team should have simply not bothered trying to gain points and done the same, shame they didn’t.
My heart bleeds for you. Anyways, pick your spawn camping location better next time. I’ll even load up the game and find you some alternatives that look into that spawn where the terrain is better for you.
Point being, 550 meters, lost gunner to a APDS round from a Gepard. The Abrams model is not right, needs correction, and the map designs suck sweaty balls and need fixing.
Otherwise, keep your mouth shut.
Dude in no way I would want people like that to balance the game, hell, I would only remove their ability to vote on update’s stuff.
0.068 and 0.2 kds.
Yeah surely USA has that low winrate because of muh Abrooms bad.
The point being you could have entirely avoided having lost your gunner if you positioned better for your spawn camping. Map design is another bag entirely.
Otherwise, keep your mouth shut.
I must’ve forgotten when they made you a moderator and gave you the authority to decide who can or can’t post. Are you going to threaten to falsely flag next, again? Like you did earlier?
And here come the skill issue ranters. Yes, we already acknowledged that newbies screw shit up, aDSD.
No I’m just going to ignore your sarcastic unproductive ass.
No I’m just going to ignore your sarcastic unproductive ass.
And there we go with the usual toxicity expected from your lot at this point.
You will be glad to know on loading into that map on the M1A1 I have already found that if you had been positioned slightly to the right of where you were, you would have had sufficient gun depression to be able to fire at that gepard with only your barrel line and above being visible.
I hope this information is useful and you will apply it next time you try to spawn camp on this map. I’m sure if you search around that area you will be able to find other spots too and this will improve your gameplay and skill. You’re welcome.
Typing actually. This is a forum. People type things on them. But do go on with your toxic namecalling meanwhile I’m trying to provide you with helpful information so that you may further improve your skill and gameplay.
There is always room for improvement in your spawn camping.
