Damn, I missed a lot these hours I haven’t been home.
So basically the trolls and derailers who brigade every Abrams-related thread have already got to the last phase of their plan where they finally start tagging mods for them to lock it, hoping the flame wars they’ve sparked are enough to warrant it.
Of course, it’s their modus operandi; destroy Abrams threads so they are locked and therefore silenced.
They’ve been doing it for months and they will continue to do it as long as they can still participate in the Forums.

I can clearly see that there is no measurement and that the picture does not show the actual thickness of the armour, only the shape of it.
There are many ways to digitally measure things, specially in terms of volumetric, where 3D models are available already.

Okay. So to use some reasons used earlier in the thread how can you prove that the image has not been edited before hand? What is the inaccuracy of this hypothetical digital measurement? Can you show me the software you are using? How can you say how thick the armour is when you cannot see the thickness of the actual plating, only the exterior shaping? Also the model in-game current matches the shaping of the picture posted.
Again being disingenuous. You don’t need funny numbers on screen to look and see that the piece of metal is thicker than 50mm. Are you okay? Matter of fact, I got you.

You can’t though. The only part of it you could say is thicker than 50mm is the very bottom plate. We cannot see the shaping of those plates so you can’t just throw out a blanket statement like that.
If you can’t tell that a piece of metal on your screen is more than 50mm wide, i genuinely do not know how you managed to turn on your pc.

No one can deal with any opposing opinions. One side thinks that anyone who isn’t 100% for everything they say is a shill, while the other thinks that the Abrams is fine, when it isn’t.

You’re clearly not reading what I’m saying because you are selective reading. I said the only part that you could say based on that image is more than 50mm thick is the very bottom plate. We cannot see from that image what the internal shaping of that section is so we cannot say what the thickness is at various parts of the neck. You cannot just say the whole turret ring is X thickness because the bottom plate you can see is X thickness.
For example the interior shaping could be like so
Where the bottom plate is X thickness but the section between the visible bottom and the top is not X thickness on a horizontal plane.
