I believe first-hand experience is indeed vital to have a full picture of a subject matter at hand…
And that’s where their hypocrisy grinds my gears.
They are German and/or Russian mains who claim that “you don’t need to have any first-hand experience on the Top Abrams tanks to know it’s aktchually the second best tank in the game”, but then they will proceed to belittle and disregard anyone else’s inputs if they don’t have first-hand experience themselves.
It’s their double standards that sicken me.
Either accept or disregard the imput from people without first-hand experience, under the same standards… but don’t go around disregarding other people’s opinions for not having first-hand experience only to then proceed to make claims without first-hand experience.
Look who’s talking, “I am an expert on the Top Abrams tanks and the state of Top Tier even though I only play Russia and Germany at (actual) Top Tier”.
Specialist doesn’t have top tanks at all. Not even pre-top tanks. There’s really nothing to discuss there. The man just doesn’t know what he’s talking about at all.
I foresee this thread getting locked soon as does every Abrams thread because of Russian and German mains inputting nonsense into these kinda threads. God forbid the Leo gets some competition at top tier and is not hold W for them. Anyway the state of top tier US is just unacceptable, Essentially US’s sole purpose right now is for other nations to farm and grind. It’s crazy how Gaijin let it get this bad while still ignoring it and the amount of people that try to defend it because they want easy wins.
Experience is vital to talk about the Abrams if you think it has issues that need to be addressed, because, without experience, you can’t have a correct opinion…
…however, if you think Abrams is amazing and has no issues at all, suddenly experience does not matter at all: it is the correct opinion, no matter what.
Me: Leopard 2A7V’s armor needs to go from 670mm KE to 750mm KE. This change is far from needed, but it is the correct thing to do.
Them: :D
Me: The Abrams turret ring shouldn’t be lolpenned by autocanons and the variant that’s in service in 2024 should probably have better armor than the very first iteration of the tank from 1979.
Well, you haven’t seen some other threads that have been locked because of them. I just saying I see this thread taking the same path as many previously did.
It does matter but also depends on whose experience we are talking about here, if the said person performs horribly in all the vehicles he has played, then his experience might not be the best one and we can also assume that his understanding of the vehicle attributes or gameplay might be lacking, hence the bad stats, and they get mad when people that “had better experience” start disagreeing with their bad takes as their comment hold less weight.
Also the double standards when it comes to sources.
If I say that Leopard2A7V’s hull should be 750mm KE, they agree; even though THERE ARE NO SOURCES STATING IT.
The only reason why I say it should be 750mm KE is because it’s what makes logical sense. And, in this case, even just logical sense is perfectly fine by everyone’s standards.
But when it comes to the Abrams… oh, God forbids you make any statement without being backed up by General Dynamics themselves.
I would say same goes if a person performs extraordinarily well in all the vehicles they have played; that comes to show that, no matter what they play, the vehicle will never be an issue to them, like the people who have 5:1 K/Ds on Arietes doesn’t prove Ariete is OP, etc.
For once we agree. Most M1 threads I’ve been to end up getting locked because US players get too salty that others don’t unanimously support everything they say and go off the deep end.
