M1a2s at top tier

Yes, they did fix the Abrams engine sound and gave the hstvl a new engine noise in the same update :)

Huh. I haven’t noticed a difference, personally. Maybe it’s a " skill issue " for my ears lol.

I noticed the sound is slightly less piercing, and it can’t be heard from as far away as it used to be.

The Abrams sound issue is partly because of it’s unique sound. It makes it very noticeable, and it doesn’t blend into background noise as well as other tanks sounds.

As it stand the point of spall liner/ Integrated Spall Liner tech (in Abrams that people try to explain) is to reduce amount of fragments generated by last layer during an shell impact or when armor being penetrated unlike normal spall liner which catch the spall as the last layer.

But then again there are no disclosure about Abrams internal spall liners “yet”

You can go read the whole thread. And reply there If you actually care to dabate. That is.

Back to the topic.
For those who haven’t seen this before.
Here another source on M1A2 turret (British source on M1A2 turret cheek armor post by Flame2512).

650mm vs KE

but this one doesn’t show effective angle like (Sweden source which could also be an export armor value).
So it could be 650mm vs KE at ±20° /±30° even ±0° .

Hmmm. I see. Well, if the total volume was actually reduced accordingly prior then it’s fair to consider it one less issue on the docket.

Everybody agrees that Germany needs more hull protection in this thread, but somehow when a US player that likes the Abrams and want it fixed gets absolutely shit on just because he said “hey guys, the Abrams ingame is really underperforming, the turret ring issue must be fixed” NOOOOO THE LECLERC AND ARIETE ARE WORSE SHUT UP, YOU DONT DESERVE A FIX, SKILL ISSUE STOP CRYING!!!

I mean it can be, depending on what you’re firing at (plus you can guide it over hills).

Hey would I be considered at least somewhat an above average player checking my stats? I always try to have a somewhat aggressive playstyle and fight to to the very last spawn unless I have a really bad game and get taken out 2 times without doing much and can’t respawn a 3rd time due to ADATS spawn(British and American)

Ironic to me how the “Leclerc needs a buff now!” thread is largely constructive and community oriented.

Meanwhile the Abrams threads a full of sh*t slinging from all sides in the least helpful ways possible…

From what I’ve seen, some people appear to have a hate boner against the United States; so their real life hatred towards the U.S is translated into hatred for its vehicles and players ingame (very often believing that only or mostly real life Americans play U.S ingame).

Kinda how some people hate the Merkavas because they hate Israel so they proceed to TK and insult their players, etc.

Ironically, this is exactly what the:

kind of people are using.

depends what tank’s hull protection they mean, if its like a 2a4 2a5 2a6 thats justifiable but man the abrams has a decent setup and everyone complains for practically 0 good reason

all i ever really see is just… ‘wawaaa turet ring’

Interesting take ya got there.

You actually have never played an abrams, and you complain about the Leo 2 needing a hull armor upgrade apparently? You’re worse than everything that the “You’re just a dumb US main” people say we are.

ah classic abrams player, bringing up kd against facts, let me ask, whats so bad about the abrams instead of looking at my stats? considering i have a more valid opinion than you with 7-8d in a tank

I think complaining because the hull armor of a tank is 670mm KE instead of 750mm KE is way less of a good reason than complaining because a visibly 300mm thick chunk of armor is modelled as a 50mm thick flat plate.

Except all backlash falls on the second case, and none in the first.

I believe both cases are as legitimate and valid. Because every vehicle should be as realistic and accurate as possible.
