M1A2C Hull armor missing

they did give the armour upgrade for the turret

Not the hull that is a clear upgrade on the showcase tanks

yes but not the hull

The turret is strong enough already so giving it more armor is just pointless, unlike the hull

We need more anime tanks tho so no hull upgrade for the V3. You can have classified missiles tho.

Worse, the bug report to correct the SEPv3s weight from 63 to 67 tons has been passed to the devs.

So soon it’ll be a less mobile SEPv2 with nothing to gain for it.

Which is still incredibly sketchy. You are telling me that Gaijin seriously thinks these 2 RHA plates weight a total of 3.6 tons combined?

Sure, not as impactful, but does make it impenetrable for any apfsds at any angle, you could still be penned by dm53 when you are not looking directly at them

You can also have an Air-to-Ground missile that hasn’t finished development nor entered active service yet for Russia. Isn’t that neat! Ignore all the things we decide isn’t true about NATO tanks and enjoy the falsehoods of the Russian Kh-38MT!

Not a bug, USA is not capable of making anything good past 1990’s

The turret now bounces 99% of the shots fired at it instead of bouncing 95% of the shots fired at it.

I’m sure that will be worth the noticable mobility reduction compared to the SEPv1.

When you have a gazillion tanks and your allies have like 350 each and your enemies even less middle of the road with high crew survivability is all you need

thats nearly a 10 ton increase from SEPv2 lmao, did they build a McDonald in there or something, anything but additional armor ofc

Thats a useful info tho, ima make another bug report using that to convince gaijin to do an educated guestimate for the armor increase or something

Perhaps is the weight of the crew lol

Whats the area of the checks? For a 150mm plate, you need around 3m^2 to get up to that weight

That will eventualy be the best option for lineup reasons, though! Having two SEPv3s; one with Trophy and the other without it.

IF Gaijin ever bothers fixing SEPv3’s armor, that is. Else, SEP and the SEPv2s will still be better, lol.

Best of all, they aren’t even actually 150mm thick; rather, they are 90mm thick.

So… yeah, apparently two 90mm thick plates add 5 tons.

I have been trying to look for the dimensions (height and width etc) of the Abrams to calculate the area for a part of the day but I couldn’t find anything.

At some point I was so frustrated with my search that I even considered grabbing my 1:16 M1A2 model, measuring that and reverse calculating that from scale to real size. However that would be real napkin math.

I mean it wouldnt be a first, just look at the war kit, but you’re right about the 90mm, i just check it and the “thickness” doesnt match the armour dimensions

It’s also a completely ridiculous way to add the improved turret. Below is a photo of the front turret up close, you can clearly see that’s it’s not an additional plate welded on but a completely new armor cavity. There is no weld line again 90 or 150mm back. You can see the weld is the same as on the side turret, the front armor plate is still only 38mm RHA
