The problem is that all devellopmental and testing data of NEA is highly classified for obvious reasons, so it’s virtually impossible for us to get any figures or real data other than it was an overall improvement over previous armour layouts
NERA buffs also impacts so many NATO tanks.
Its easier to ignore to the buff to NERA. Instead of reclassifying every NATO tank

the Australian SepV3 would probably benefit from this more than it would anything else about being a SepV3, but other than that I don’t think so since they’re all older variants otherwise
But they have a different export armor package. Therefore US sources for our SEPv3 wouldn’t apply to them
What I can say for sure is that the Aussie M1A2 SEPV3 does not get TUSK
I like how this whole thread and all the other ones about the M1A2C(SEP V3) are all about the armor, yet no one is talking about how it DOESN’T HAVE THE TROPHY SYSTEM THAT WAS ALSO ONE OF THE BIG NEW FEATURES OF THE PROGRAM. That’s like one of the biggest things it’s known for IS active protection. The biggest reason for the upgrade.

I’ve heard people having citations of 15% turret improvement.
Also it’s physically impossible for the hull to exceed ~500mm of effective protection.
That’s with the “cavity” behind the armor array being filled with more armor & being replaced with DU.
Also, the AIM 120C-5 &AIM 120D are classified yet they have fairly “accurate” flight characteristics, but God forbid the Abrams gets it’s real armor package AND the trophy system.

For two resons:
1- There are no pictures of SEPv3s with Trophy yet.
2- A SEPv3 equipped with Trophy can always come in the future, much like how we got two SEPv2s.
Right now, what matters is that it comes with its proper, actual armor.

i thought 2 new abrams is coming? M1A2C (which is known as SEPv3) and M1A2C (Trophy APS) (comes with the APS)? whats the issue?

M1A2 Trophy HV is the M1A2 SEPV2 with trophy

oh i see, i thought they were both SEPv3
why dont they just give the SEPv2 that is already in-game the Trophy? Why add another SEPv2 just for 1 modification? Or is it 2 different variant of SEPv2 and the one in-game cant use Trophy APS?
It is an “M1A2 (Trophy)” which is based on the sep v2

If both of them were the SEPV3, I would find it a little annoying gaijin would split solely on the fact one has a Trophy System and the other doesn’t

Basically the V2 Trophy is the V3 just without the armor. The whole V3 program was built around better ballistics protection which included an APS but since the only pictures of the V3 with an APS are that of the V2 Trophy we dont get the V3 with APS

lmao so the V3 at this point is just literally a V2 because it lack the hull armor upgrade, which is like the main thing with the V3. And since it doesnt get the Trophy APS either, it’s literally just a V2 called V3 for some reason. Whats the point of adding it at this point

To say it’s in the game. IDK what the problem is. Yes it doesn’t come off the factory line with the Trophy but its systems are there so a modification for the Trophy would make sense.
