M1A2C Abrams: Heavy Cavalry!

As expected, your aim is at fault.

Don’t blame the T-90M and T-80BVM for your aim being poor. You’ll fail to kill anything as long as you don’t know where to aim.
That T-90M should’ve required 2 shots at most, certainly not 4.

Literally my two last matches:

These are all of the shots taken against Russian stuff, it’s mostly just easy one-taps across the board.

Seeing people say the Abrams are bad tanks despite them being one of the most undertiered family of tanks in game is hilarious.

Like seriously how can anyone see all the 12.0 Abrams and defend it.

The Leopard 2A5 is 12.3 despite being worse in every single way to any of the 12.0 Abrams

The 2A6 is somehow 12.7 for a difference of 30mm of pen with a far worse reload

DM53 also lacks it’s anti ERA capabilities only M829A3 has them

The leopard 2A4M get’s the same shell as the M1A1 AIM with a worse reload, worse armor, worse mobility at the exact same BR.

Leopard 2 PSO with equal thermals, equal ammunition and worse reload is somehow 12.7
Leopard 2PL is 12.3

The Ariete is 12.3

The T-72B3A is now finally getting dowtiered to 12.0 where it still is worse in every single way to any of the tanks at it’s BR

VT4 is 12.3 somehow

The Abrams are incredibly good tanks at all BRs and the only one that can be called balanced is the original 10.7 one, the rest are at least excellent or overpowered.

Imagine trying to use a T-90M or T-80BVM with their gun depression in this situation:

It’s the map’s #1 powerposition and it’s completely unusable to anything Soviet/Russian.

Oh no. If I took those same shots at an Abrams or a Leopard, trust me, they don’t have fuel tanks that would absorb all the damage. I was shooting through the smoke.

But what amazes me the most is how hard you’re trying to defend Gaijin.

Dude will never understand that his aim is just a joke.

The TOW2B has two tandem EFP charges on top of each other, no era could stop that. Unless theres a solid brick to stop the first charge then the ERA on top of that. In other words,

^ this

Two of these stacked on top of each other ^

The Russian K5 and relict would not be able to stop two EFPs since the first EFP would destroy the ERA then the second charge would follow through.

Yep I forgot to say that there is a precursor charge at the front, but it’s visible on the schema.
But I don’t know if they can both hit the same place; since ERA is in little pieces, if the first charge doesn’t hit the same place as the second, Kontakt-5 / Relikt could stop it.
Is the first HEAT or the second one rotating or adjustable ?

Doesn’t necessary matter, even if half the charge is detonated there is still a copper liner moving through the ERA penetrating the vehicle.

I cant really post it on here but there’s plenty of footage of US tanks with Tandem ERA getting penetrated by EFPs. The main difference between RPGs with EFPs is the force behind the blast.

???

Let’s think about that for just a second.
I’ve got 4250 kills across six different M1’s.

  • 4.9 K/D in my M1A1.
  • 6.1 K/D in my IPM1.
  • 4.1 K/D in my M1A2.
  • 3.2 K/D in my M1A2 SEP v2.
  • 6.5 K/D in my M1.
  • 5.4 K/D in my M1A2 Trophy.

Top-tier USA generally faces Russia the most across top-tier history, that’s thousands of kills against T-80BVM’s, T-80U’s, T-90M’s, T-72B3M’s, etc.

Do you seriously think this is me defending Gaijin, and not me knowing how to easily kill these tanks that are rolling powder kegs with only 3 crew max?

You just showed me a video of your aim being poor, and you expect me to blame Gaijin for that?

Why do so many War Thunder “esports” players defend the Red team so passionately? I know plenty of very good players who main the U.S., but they would never defend Gaijin so fiercely or deny that the developers show bias.

Maybe because good players know how laughably easy it is to fight the T-80BVM and T-90M?

Given your standards for what is considered a decent player, not sure what you standards are for a good player lol.

There are five of you here who keep bragging about your stats, and every single one repeats the same mantra: There’s no bias. The balance is fine.
I don’t know. it honestly gives me the impression that you’re on Gaijin’s payroll, because you’re all repeating the exact same talking points.
It’s always the same strategy You’re just a bad player. Look at my stats - I get a 2-3 K/D playing your nation, so your complaints are invalid.
Guys, I’m starting to think you actually work for Gaijin.

Oh the balance isn’t fine. KH38MT, LDIRCM and the Pantsir SM-SV are unbalanced and should be brought in line. However the T-80BVM and T-90M are decent at best and mediocre at worst, so much worse than the Abrams and uparmored Leo 2s that it’s not even a contest.

There are plenty of things to rightfully complain about in game, the things you complain about just trace back to skill issue.

The majority of complaints I see about the BVM and T-90M is about Relikt. The one downside to them being covered in it is simply Gaijin’s inability to model ERA properly. I don’t think it would have that much of an impact at a flat angle but Gaijin treats it as just destructible armor so it gets a flat protection value. They’re mediocre at best but if you whiff they can punish you for it (provided the player isn’t braindead)

Yes, the main issue with the T-90M and T-80BVM is their overtuned armor. It’s incredibly frustrating when you outflank an opponent or get the first shot, only for your APFSDS round to disappear into a fuel tank or get absorbed by the Relikt side armor and spall liner.

Because of this, USSR players often just rush forward in a Zerg rush. They know it’s difficult to hit the weak spots on Soviet MBTs, and their speed only makes those weak spots even harder to aim at.

I agree that the side ERA implementation is questionable and should be fixed, it’s not as common as some people here (looking at you mr undertaker) make it out to seem.

Like yes it is a problem, but if someone needs 5 sideshots to kill a T-90M (looking at you again undertaker) there is a massive element of player whiffing going on.

They zerg rush and have to hope that they face people like you that can barely aim, otherwise they are screwed.
