M1A2C Abrams: Heavy Cavalry!

Firstly, you said ‘‘CR2’’ and not ‘‘Black Night’’. Call the vehicles by their proper names to avoid confusion.

Secondly, Black Night has a vastly superior APS to the T-90M Arena-M and the T-90M has no APS whatsoever. Being able to intercept APFSDS at medium/long ranges is quite significant.

Thirdly, Black Night can at least reverse, reload below 7.0sec and depress it’s gun, that already makes it superior to the T-90M’s.

APS makes a massive difference because it counters the BMPT, and I’m getting the distinct feeling you don’t play any of these tanks because that ranking is bad.

So where’s the Strv 122’s? They seem conveniently absent so that you could sneak the T-80BVM in at 3rd/4th place.

Besides, thinking a T-80BVM, let alone a T-90M(!) is superior to a Type 10 or Leclerc is peak "I’ve never played Russia at top tier’’ behaviour.

This is a really good tell on players being inexperienced.

They rate vehicles based on their ability to sustain hits, when sustaining hits is not what wins battles, what wins battles is the damage you inflict on the opposing team. That involves active advantages instead of passive ones.

  • That means good firepower (T-90M has the literal worst firepower), good (reactive) mobility (T-90M has the literal worst mobility) and good responsiveness/gun handling (T-90M has mediocre gun handling).

BN APS works on darts at over 800m away for a top tier dart maps are so small now it is largely irrelevant it can still stop missiles from the likes of a BMP-T but not in rapid succession it also only has 4 shots. Remove the APS and it is a Challenger 2.
There is not fire power upgrade, no armour upgrade no mobility upgrade it has nice thermals and an APS system.

Reversing is handy, but you know what is more important being able to get to the choke points and caps. CR2 will always be last getting there. On smaller maps it is a waste of time playing on longer range maps it can at least snipe. and while it has reverse speed the acceleration is appalling and will not save you.

BMP-T will delete your barrel and penetrate the tank somehow so while APS is nice it will not save you if a BMP-T wants to cripple you. The same with Aircraft they take offence if your APS system saves you.

STRV-122s are Leopard 2A6 (with more armour, weaker thermals) variants I said I was not going to nuance the list. I also did not include the 2A4M or the 2PL.

Stand by it the Leclerc fire power and damage model is terrible.
So you never take a hit then, because you are so perfectly positioned no one sees you? The game is RNG and having a higher percentage chance of a round not penning or doing minimal damage is a massive part of it. Holding points or choke point while being able to bounce or resist shots is what wins games.

T-90M does not have the worst fire power at top tier that is the CR2 the Russian dart is better, travels faster and you don’t have the limitation of 4 rounds at 4.7 seconds and the rest 6-7. I believe Russia can now also choose to take a weaker round but have a 4-5 second sustained reload.

T-90M is perfect for rushing a point it has good armour (not that that matters in your world) good consistent fire power and a great damage model. T-80BVM trades a little armour for the mobility the 90M misses. T-90M reverse does hurt it but not to the extent you make out, engagements at range on a ridge like that T-90M will be able to reverse before it is destroyed the turret and breach absorb so much spall.

With most tanks having a 5 second reload any really exposed tank is dead reverse or not.

This post was flagged by the community and is temporarily hidden.

You are exhausting.

You ignore the points about armour…
It was the T-80BVM that has been buffed with the ammo choice. Not the 90M

T-90S is fine its a fun tank its fast it can take a hit and is a change from the slower CR1.
T-90S suffered from being a victim of BMP-T fodder.

Any tank in the open against a good player is dead M1, Leopard 2, T-90/80. Difference is a T series tank if it isnt a OHK it can fight back, an M1 will lose the turret basket and fire, Leopard the same and T series gun will stll fire.

Again not the worst fire power check the stat cards.

It’s more so the type of APFSDS than it is the range, M829A3 can be intercepted at any range I suspect.
Any L/44 armed tank can probably also be intercepted at near point blank range.

PIN number, ATM machine, PDF format, ATGM missile.

Just like the T-90M is a glorified T-72B3M.

The T-90M also does not feature a firepower upgrade, it’s mobility actually gets worse, no thermal sight upgrade and the T-72B3A has an APS whilst the base T-90M does not.
The only meaningful T-90M upgrade are it’s type of ERA and the coverage of said ERA together with spall liners.

The mobility of the T-90M and Challenger 2 is quite similar and the Challenger 2E has significantly better mobility than a T-90M:

Imgur
You evidently have no idea about the terrible state of the T-90M’s mobility.

They most certainly are not.

2nd fastest reload in the entire game and the penetration is enough to deal with any of the basic weakspots than any other 12.7 MBT also generally aims for.

Continuing the ignorance because you’ve never played Russian MBT’s part.

7.0s reload means the T-90M has the literal worst firepower, nothing reloads slower than a T-90M.
And no, the Challenger’s don’t have worse firepower, their initial 5.3s reload is a significant edge over the T-90M in any direct engagement.

I’m at the point of just ignoring your replies because it’s a stream of constant ignorance which stems from you never having played Russian MBT’s, yet you continue to judge them as if you had.

  • Reload for the T-90M is 7.0 seconds, no ifs, no buts.
  • Reload for the T-80BVM is 6.0 seconds for 3BM-46, 6.4 seconds for 3BM-60.

If Russian MBT’s have a 4-5 second reload, then the Challenger has a 3 second reload.

Rushing a point that everyone else gets to faster than a T-90M. -Facepalm-

If the T-90M has ‘‘Good consistent firepower’’, then the Challenger 2 has the best mobility of any MBT in War Thunder.

Idk how I feel about Type 10 being in 9., it’s too much of a gimmick tank with the reload than it is a consistent one, I’d place 2A5/2A6 and Leclerc’s, maybe even Merkava Mk.4’s over it, and all of those still bodyslam BVM regardless, just a little nitpick.

The 4s reload is great but terrible gun handling, ready rack size, transmission and steering is a bit ehh

And the T-90M suffers from being Abrams/Leo 2 fodder if it gets anywhere close to them.

Locked 7 seconds reload no matter what makes it the worst, again especially in cloaer range.

Iron Fist has a 0.3s reaction time iirc, so at top tier any dart fired below ~450m will hit before it can react (and gaijin do seem to love their close range maps. I wouldn’t be surprised if they find a way to make the falklands an urban map)

Type 10 players are good, i think that makes people think the tank is good.

I consider ≈10m - 700m to be close range, ≈800m-1400m medium range and 1500m+ to be long range.

It should intercept any APFSDS at or below 1700 m/s, and L/44 DM53, M829A2, M829A3, etc. etc. all fall within that range.

You’re likely breached, lost your autoloader mid reload, or also lost your horizontal.
Because of its cramped interior, almost 90% of penetrating shots kill you.

Just tested, ~670-680m is where it intercepts them.

As does a T-90 or T-72, and both get farmed by more mobile tanks. This is why you spawn the 2E first, or just the Aussie Abrams.

BMPT will take some time to barrel you, and most tanks can’t be front penned by 30mm APDS, so just click his LFP and he dies. If a MBT clicks you, you die instantly, so why complain when you have time to react against a BMPT?

You have literally no idea what you’re talking about. They have the same thermals, and 122 doesn’t have the L/55…
Its a 2A5 with tons of added armor. The difference between a 90M and a 122, is that the 122 doesn’t sacrifice everything for good armor.

You don’t even have it. Or 95% of the tanks you’re talking about. Lmao.

What a joke. You play between points, and quick reload/mobility allows you take out opponents fast, while a good reverse allows you to get out of there if you need to. Armor won’t hold up when 2 people push you because you cant reverse (T-90M) and after you kill 1, the other has 7 seconds to shoot your LFP.

What are you even saying?
Is: 564 pen @5.3s for 4 rounds then 7s
Or: 580 pen @7s better?
Hint, its the former.
T-80s can reload at 6s, not 4-5. Please, do some research before you speak. BVM needs to take a 544 pen round to reload at 6s, and T-80U’s best round reloads at 6s with 532 pen.

Your armor that will bounce a whole lot of nothing because people can actually aim. Its firepower is the worst at top tier, along with the worst reverse and awful depression, so you can’t even hide your weakspots often. BVM trades a ton of armor for the mobility/reverse/reload but it is a VERY worthy tradeoff. T-90M can hardly reverse into cover before a APFSDS round travelling at mach 5 turns you to paste.

The difference is, pushing a 5s reload is much harder than pushing a 7s reload, and 5s reload tanks can just, get out of there…

Well, everyone wants “action packed” corridor shooter gameplay and not the boring positioning and tactics stuff /s

KING AT THE TOP. Even with BIGGER battle counts abrams outperform so called best mbts

It actually shows how good it is, 600’000 played battle, and it keeps such a high k/d
If such a tank would have been in a minor nation, it would have been destroyed, obliterated by nerfs.
If we follow Statshark, US have the 2 best MBT’s in k/d, k/spawn, and is the best nation in win rate with more than 7% between the second (M1A2 Trophy, 61.5%) and third (Centauro II (P), 55.7%), while the M1A2C have 62.2.

As for the k/d, both M1A2 have 1.91 and 1.81, third one being the UK M1A2 with 1.68. A k/d of almost 2 is an instant death for most tanks in-game.
BMPT(2002) at 11.0 had 1.71, BMPT-72 on release had a lower k/d.

I don’t say it’s OP, but it is very, very good. (In my opinion OP is something like 9K in GRB, BMPT on release with a 2.33 k/d, …)

I hope other nation will have in the next update concurrent vehicles, such as the Leo 2A71, A8, Ariete C2, --maybe ?-- the Type 10 with APS, since it is confirmed to be built before 2028. Or other top dogs tanks, and maybe anti-ERA shells for other OTAN tanks, and/or correct the pen of most APFSDS.

Had to turn on my PC, download the updates and play 3 games just to be able to say:

LOL.

The T-80BVM can take a weaker round for an increased rate of fire.

So sure LOL

  • Talks about T-90M
  • Mentions that “Russia” can now reload in 4-5s with a worse round
  • Gets called out for it
  • Tries to use BVM as a life line
  • Doesn’t realize that the reload speed is still vastly different than what was stated

I bet that number 13 in your name stands for 13 misinformation claims per day. Absolute champ when it comes to hot takes mixed in with blatant ignorance.

Yes its called making a mistake. But all you Russian mains are so sensitive.

T-80BVM is the best Russian tank currently in game.

A reduced rate of fire with a weaker round gives good flexibility.

Maybe just maybe dont be such a condenscending twot
