It would be too powerful honestly.
There are different aspects.
Having realistic modelling does not involve being a full fledged 1st person simulator with real missions…
The same way having 3rd person does not involve being a hero shooter.
War Thunder is suppossed to combine authentic, faithful and realistic modelling with arcade gameplay.

Not what the DEVELOPERS and the COMMUNITY MANAGERS repeatedly state.
They state that the only reason why the Abrams isn’t getting upgraded armor is because “they don’t believe it did in real life”.
Artificially manipulating armor for the sake of balance was always OUT of the question. I don’t know why some of you are pretending to make of it a “balance” thing.

Cool! So tell me what on earth thats gonna do when the enemy shoots the hull? Wheres the improved SU plates??? “Oh its better hulled down!” Ok so tell me about the turret ring what about that, the one thats been proven to be incorrect hundreds if not thousands of times atp, and even had approved bug reports with no changes so far. not to mention the turret mantlet.
Basically this is just a worse SEP V2 by miles, thanks ig

You and me both know the bug reports across hundreds of vehicles that are blatantly correct would not be denied just because “they don’t believe it”. There is definitely a significant influence from balancing whether or not they want to admit it.

Its not? The turret ring shouldnt be exposed at all, in game its extremely large and extremely weak, it should be sunk into the hull with ~800mm effective armor
In game its exposed with ~80mm of armor
