M1A2 SEP V2 ERA Modification

I doubt the blow panels worked as it is an unarmed variant of Abrams.

You mistook it with this one

Well actually it is reported that Abrams ammo has proven to be very exposed in the rear of the turret and unable to tolerate any damage whatsoever which renders the tank destroyed very easily in case any damage occurs

what are you on about take you unless stuff else where

Well actually it is reported that the T series ammo has proven to be very exposed in the hull of the tank and unable to tolerate any damage whatsoever which renders the tank destroyed very easily in case any damage occurs.

This is a discussion about getting a mod about removing the ERA from the SEP V2 in war thunder, not tanks being engaged and damaged in Ukraine my guy.

You need to reread the thread and it’s definitely about many other things. Very few messages in the thread focus on era

Maybe we should re-name the thread then, or we could just purge all the irrelevant content like this, because no, this thread is about making the ERA a removable mod, or it was until people chose to derail it.

There’s your mistake. The thread title says something on ERA. The discussion itself is definitely not about era

And that isn’t OPs fault either. You can blame all the people trying to side rail it like they do when anything about the Abrams is brought up. Eventually this leads to wondering the reasoning that they do it. Hmmm I know why do you?

I don’t know why. People like to talk about different things not just something listed in thread title

1 abrams damaged = 20 russian tanks exploaded

Still standing in agreement with making the ERA modification removable.

I know it’s not for the M1, but did find an image of the an M2 in Ukraine with damaged BRAT tiles, it almost certainly not basic ERA but would be classed as heavy since it has multiple obvious flier plates.

what the f are you talking about? every abrams has blow out panels.

ah yes… another person trying to talk about the Abrams survivability…

You see There is a difference between a Russian and an American tank, when the ammo is hit in an American tank, the crew has a chance to survive and escape the tank and will even remain unharmed if they stay in it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CP8JiqItigE M1A1 & M1A2 tank blow out panels on ammunition stowage https://youtu.be/Ay7bOG2nD6k https://youtu.be/O6A7fKcotyM

Would you like to know what happens to a russian tank when its ammo gets hit?.. Maximum Damage.

Şşşhhh dont tell that to Russian mains, they will come complain and claim that Russian tanks have wet ammo storage therefore it cannot be blown up.

yeah they have wet ammo… they just leave it in their fuel tanks lol…

Yes, if the ammo doors were closed, the tank ca be repaired,

Same case with ARAT tiles, both have a substantial number of flyer plates inside the ERA brick.

The fact that they still have just about the same amount of protection as M60 RISE-P tiles is absurd.

This textbook does have a section on ERA design and performance(Chapter 4), I wonder what the numbers would say.
