I don’t have the dev server installed, I noticed the M1A2 SEP v.2 looks like that when the TUSK kit is removed:
Not only is it completely wrong, ugly, but it also makes it less armored than the regular Abrams because, afaik, you replace the side skirt with the lightly armored ERA mounting. Can someone with the dev server installed make a bug report about this and have it corrected?
All ERA mounting should be removed
The bulletproof glass protection around the gunner and commander hatches should also be removed; they are part of the TUSK kit.

I imagine gaijin is trying to mimic abrams that are fielded with the TUSK mounting hardware but without the bricks actually installed which still looks pretty good on units that run it like that
Regardless i do think it would be nice if gaijin just gave us a choice between the 3 options so that we can just run it in whichever configuration we want

Interesting. And yeah, it would be nice if we could run it fully clean. I’d prefer fully clean than this if we can only get two.
This is why a vismod system should have been implemented when they started adding tanks with packaged armor add ons.

Thank you for this picture!
I’m not a fan of this “mod”, as, like OP said, it’s worse armoured than if it had the baseline skirts; but seeing it’s an actual thing is neat.
Current SEP v2 without the kit is not only heavier but less armored than the SEP… lmfao. And this is supposed to be the top US tank.

As suboptimal as this change is, it’s still a big improvement to finally have the chance to remove the 3 tons worth of ERA.
Now all that’s left is to be able to remove the armor from the Merkava, the C1A2 Mexas, and the Challengers 2 TES and EOS. Make removing armor better than carrying it, since it’s an extra weight that doesn’t provide protection. On the T-80 and 90, I don’t think they’d want to remove the Kontakt and Relikt to lose weight, haha.
that is the correct MOD for the Sep v2
