M1A2 SEP and SEPV2 Should gain it's UUAPU

The M1A2 SEP and SEPV2 should both gain it’s notable Under Armor Auxiliary Power Unit (UAAPU), which, “consists of a turbine engine, a generator, and a hydraulic pump.”, “The generator is capable of producing 6 Kilowatts of electrical power at 214 Amps, 28 vdc, and the hydraulic pump is capable of delivering 10 Kilowatts of hydraulic power. The UAAPU can meet the electrical and hydraulic power to operate all electronic and hydraulic components used during mounted surveilance operations and charge the tank’s main batteries.”. In short, it does not need to have the main turbine engine one to meet power needs, and can maintain in a state of alertness and full energy even with the engine turned off.

The UUAPU is located as where the images above state, and are under the armor, hence the name.

I think this would be a great idea to add, together with the LWS coming in the next upgrade (to the sepv2)

Do not quote me on this, but Gaijin explicitly doesn’t wish to add APUs.
I do not recall the motive (or if this was even what was said), but most MBTs do have APUs that would allow them to keep their systems energised without their main engine, but it’s just not implemented.
It might be a balancing question.

Disregard, they are working on it. Cool.

Mean while Chinas not SEPV3 having all the modern bells and whistles besides the new armor.

Ignore my paint 3D job

Didn’t they say APUs were Work In Progress?

Yes

Have they? It’s been ages since I last heard anything of it
If so, then I’ll amend my statement

They did so very indirectly though;

But, basically, they modelled the APU as an “electronics” module on a tank, and then removed it in a patch, stating: “it will be modelled back with the introduction of proper APU mechanics later down the line” or something like that

Oh how I love war thunder lol

I’m surprised they are adding APUs. I thought the reason was simply for balance(like how hand cranked turrets get slower when the timer runs out xD)
