They nerfed the turret side armor over the ammo, its doing something like 7mm of protection.
Also they ignored a previously accepted bug report for the fuel tank bulk heads being 25mm instead of 9mm
My biggest pet peeve is people not knowing the SEPv3s turret drive isnt hydraulic, its electric
(newer models do but gajin picks and pulls almost everything so who knows the could say its an “older” model SEPv3 and release another one in the future

Bustle:
380mm CE irl, 430mm CE in-game
KE not noted due to largely being a non-factor, the bustle composite is engineered to defeat CE projectiles and has minimal protection against KE.
It absolutely is hydraulic. The M1A2 SEPv3 retains the hydraulic pump and gun drive. SEPv3 having an electric turret drive is a common myth just like it having fiberoptic cables. It has neither.
tbf theyre new so lot of veteran players go to play them which can inflate their global stats immidiately after release. it was the same situation when M1A2T released, immidiately after release it showed higher stats than US abrams, only to fall in line later.

This whole exchange started, as pointed out by Caer, because you tried to skill issue someone while being terrible player.
Two things people like you often fail to account for is that
A) numbers dont lie
B) consitent long term performance isnt affected by “sometimes i play for fun, sometimes i lock in”
I play for fun as well, you dont see me being net negative to team.
If you dont want people to use your stats against you in an argument, dont make skill based argument then.
It really is that simple.
M1A2 SEP and onwards are missing turret side armour improvements.
IPM1, M1A1, etc. have underperforming/incorrect mantlet armour.
Side skirts as you mentioned are incorrect, both against HEAT and KE.
Turret ring is still underperforming significantly.
All DU-equipped/uparmoured export variants of DU-equipped M1’s are possibly slightly underperforming on the turret cheeks vs KE.
It is not, and just stating ‘‘objectively’’ doesn’t magically make it so.
The Strv 122’s/Leopard 2A7V/2A7HU have been the best performing MBT’s for quite a long while now.

Given how the all the Abrams are now among the best perfoming 12.0, it isn’t a low bar.
Hell at top top tier the Abrams is stomping the living hell out of any T-series lol.
Or when you post a screenshot make it show everything your claiming instead of being rude lol
Last I checked, the side armor for the abrams bustle is 7mm and the NERA is glitched and doesn’t provide protection against even a .50 cal.
Edit: they corrected its protection on the bustle, I was running on outdated info here. My mistake.
Do you have docs on that? What other people have shared since these threads started, and what was included in the major bug reports, showed otherwise.

A) theyre all relatively high, and such relatively small difference can be simply explained that chinese premium horde (11.7) doesnt get uptiered to 12.7 as often as US premium horde (12.0) so its stats arent dragged down as much.

june 2026 stats which are also aviable on statshark show that M1A2T sits at 1.37 KpD while SEP sits at 1.34 and SEPv2 sits at 1.33. I wonder why you didnt mention those when theyre aviable as well.

No I understood perfectly what you think did (or are asserting you did). So the issue isn’t a comprehension one on my end.
Im objecting to your name calling… and also saying your screenshot said something but it didnt.
It showed a lot of abrams… and a handful of other mbts. Along with several non mbt vehicles. There were a ton of non abrams mbts that you could see the top of their stat card but was cut off in the screenshot.
All of that to say, your screenshots weren’t great and didn’t present all the data you claimed it did. If you’re comparing mbts, show just mbts. And then dont clip half the stat card from them. Probably an accident, and you coulda just said that instead of calling me names like a kid but here we are.
