M113A1 (TOW) - a truly curious case

In War Thunder, it’s common to see the same tank model in different national tree structures (like the M55 and M44). These tanks are there both to fill gaps and to provide more tanks to that nation. But there’s a very curious case – the M113A1 (TOW), like the M44 and M55, despite being American, is in other tree structures for the reasons mentioned, such as Italy, China, and Israel, but curiously, it’s not in the American tree itself. This is quite curious considering that the only version close to it that would justify this choice is the M109, which is a squad vehicle that takes much longer to obtain.

The point is: what do you think of this decision? Do you think it’s fair or does it seem a bit misguided? Should the M113A1 also be included in the American research tree? Comment.

Consider it a blessing you don’t have to grind it

Yup. It is terrible.

One of the few vehicles I’d be ok getting rid of some realistic features on it and making it so you don’t have an exposed dude aiming the thing.

lol

It could possibly be because America has the Bradley at the same br so it would be redundant.

Don’t know for certain since one is a TD and one is a light tank but that’s what I think anyway.

Yes, but normally we follow the grind order from a lower tank to a higher one. The M113A1 follows this, as does, for example, the Gepard with heat missiles and the Ozelot.
