Just looked through each TT and realized the M1 Abrams is the only 10.7 MBT that has a sub 400mm pen top round. Every other MBT gets at least 400mm or greater (highest going to about 480mm). 400mm is enough to make the difference at 100m. The Abrams with M774 cannot reliably penetrate itself at 100m from the front unless shooting the roof optics, turret ring, or possibly the breech depending on angle/location. Even DM23 fired from the Leopard 2A4, which has 407mm of pen at 100m (36mm more than M774) has a much easier time penetrating the same areas (both will non-pen the loader’s side).
Every MBT at 10.7 gets access to ammunition that negates Abrams’s armor almost entirely, with the Abrams in return getting ammunition that cannot reliably penetrate itself.
