The increase in mass is a good buff I’ve found though, the damage output is improved by a lot. Helps with cancer BMPTs covered in spall liner
I thought damage is based on presets not mass. Like theres a short rod and long rod spall preset in the files.

You might be right. I was fairly certain mass is also caluclated into the amount of spall though…
Im gonna be honest M829A2 already spalls pretty damn good and truthfully i dont have problems killing BMPTs
Id honestly take the better range performance of A2 instead of A3 but gaijin removed the option to use A2

Like hell, I’ll even take being able to go through the BVM hull and maybe not the turret + ERA if they want to lower effectiveness. But whatever the case is. It would help the T-90M if they do it to a certain level. Because if the BVM isn’t safe from A3 that gives incentive to play the 90M.
I’d even maybe suggest a reload buff to the 90Ms as a bit more incentive structure. But ofc idk how that would affect things seizing how inconsistent the DM is. But would be nice to at least see a 6.67 sec reload for some QOL while playing the 90M so players feel a bit more capable. You won’t put reload most things but you’ll definitely be doing more rounds per min. Which can be good when clearing enemies out.
I mostly say that because the 90M2 isn’t really a thing currently so we can’t give it a better reverse. But I guess what needs to be considered is the BMPT. What do we do in regards to that? It has Relikt on a T-90 hull yes? Which would be tougher than the BVM? Technically you can already go through the turret topper currently. So maybe it’ll be fine with the modifier changes I’ve described.

Not true. There were still parts in the middle that registered using small caliber APDS at certain points. Especially when paired with an attached hydraulic module. You didn’t need to score on the top or bottom to jam the turret. They ofc said they’d make it mostly top and bottom. But again they said no top tier premiums either…
Don’t forget residual pen. And thin internal armor generate tons of spall. Look at the older Merkavas for instance.
