The laser warning system should detect beam riding missiles.

Abrams with a minugun would surely be fun

Sigh…

There is no such thing as a ‘‘Best tank in the world’’.
The moment that phrase is uttered you know it’s just a propaganda piece.

It’s from a Tom Clancy book, it’s just for entertainment

I’d agree with you if they didn’t end their post with:

This person seems to be the American equivalent of the German main that thinks Tigers should only face T-34 1942’s and M4 Shermans.

So just ignore him

Shouldn’t this has atleast 700+mm of pentraction?

In-game it penetrates 728mm LoS.

I just found this video and im sure theres many others that have seen it too
this is an autoloader that was fitted to an old M1E1 turret as a test and seems to have worked

Pretty cool honestly i havent seen any other systems that solved the issue of flipping the shell around

Sepv2 were outfitted with trophy and also low profile CROWS

Does anybody know what that device is that’s hanging off the storage bar?

This would be a cool modification ala T-80B 1 protoype with thermals style

That is the “I’m dead” light for CVTESS, which is basically a vehicle laser tag system used for force on force training. You will find it on any combat platform conducting large scale force on force like at the National Training Center.

M1A1 (?) fitted with a Multisalvo Smoke Grenade Launcher:

Here’s also a Bradley with the Vehicle Integrated Defense System (provides LWS, MWS) since it doesn’t have its own thread:

Seems like the Rheinmetall ROSY is modeled on the SEP/SEPV2 on the dev server:

Abrams blow out panels are by design meant to protect against explosions. Not just deflags. There is no overpressure in the crew compartment due to this cam locking system.

FIG. 1 is a plan view of the U.S. Army’s M1A1 Abrams Tank 10 having turret 12 mounted thereon. In the rear of the turret is bustle zone 14 where a closed ammunition compartment 20 is located, the top of the ammunition compartment being formed by blow off panel 16. Panel 16 is designed to break away should an explosion occur in the ammunition compartment. The force of any explosion will be directed upward, whereby the tank crew members in the turret will survive and the tank may be operable enough to carry the crew from the battle zone. Blast door assembly 18, by which the crew accesses ammunition in compartment 20, is schematically designated by shed elongate rectangle 18 in FIG. 1.

With the recent addition of the M1A2T added to the Chinese tech tree, I believe this thread deserves some more attention.

Requested changes/additions:
Add M1A2T to the variant list. Technical data can be found here: (M1A2T Abrams: The ROCA’s Steel Fortress)
M1A2 SEPV2 now has Rheinmetall Rosy 360 degree LWS and additional smoke grenade launchers. Could be added to a new category, or smoke grenade launchers added under armament.
