I wouldn’t get my hopes up brother, gaijin has done region exclusive stuff like this before in the ru/jp/cn region and most of them are still region locked to this day
Hi, This was answered in another thread.
I will Mention that China & DMM get exclusive items along with xbox and playstation. The global client also gets exclusive content in which others don’t often get. (as Smin pointed out)
I’m happy to leave this thread open as many people really wanted this so personally i think the feedback is good. But as it is not coming to our region (or client) the thread may be closed at any point.
Disappointing… would love to see unique premiums like this dedicated to certain pilots.
Global also getting exclusive items is not a consolation as I don’t think any platform should have exclusive items. I’ve been lusting after DMM decals and titles for years but there is no way to get them without jumping through too many hoops. Exclusive items to certain regions simply do not make sense as a business strategy because you are cutting out plenty of people who would otherwise give you money.
Indeed, A little mistake, I managed to see it in the wiki, in reality it is a 2.3 yak-1 airframe (look at the nose intakes and empty weights) with the engine of the 3.0 yak-1B
Yak-1 → Klimov VK-105P (Maximum 1,020 hp, WEP 1,140 hp)
Yak-1B → Klimov VK-105PF ( 1,210 hp, No WEP)
Yak-1 Litvyak → Klimov VK-105PF
YAK-1B is the lightest of them, at 2.47 t empty, followed by yak-1 with 2.51 t and lastly Yak-1 Litvyak at 2.53 t
Perhaps if they add early access to celebrate on the country first, or something like that, but not forever exclusive, for me it’s just bad marketing.
With respect, this is different.
This is the first time for War Thunder a vehicle has been put into the general global server vehicle list, but with access to it locked to only players from a specific region (CIS). While it is a low-level vehicle, having an extra Russian 3.0 premium aircraft in a lineup that players from the rest of the world can’t have does constitute a (small but non-zero) gameplay and progression advantage for them.
DMM had exclusive titles and camoes, not vehicles. The Tencent server was separated from the general global servers, so its unique vehicles were never seen or played against by other players.
You can’t just say you’ve done this before, because you haven’t before this month, not exactly. This is new, and I think the rest of the globe probably has a right to know how many more vehicles are likely to be added for Russian-based players they may end up playing against in future.
Because it can be region locked and I don’t think there’s a problem with that, if so, then start with countless of Japanese and Chinese-exclusive items behind DMM and other partners, in the mean time Lydia Litvyak’s pack can be obtained except you don’t have the pilot model through its exclusive RADIO TAPOK registration link:
As we have already mentioned, there are no plans for this currently.
Its a pixel storm exclusive for now.
Extremely disappointing. Her story is one of my favourites from WW2, but the interesting and unique stuff is getting blocked for most players. As usual.
I will no wonder if in future half of the decals become country based…
What do you mean with global vehicle list here? Because there have been premiums exclusive to platforms before. USS Bennion and one of the XM-1’s
CIS + Georgia
No, you can still use Visa/MC
But anyway, a Pixel account will come with more restrictions than you think. That plane doesn’t make up for it. What’s more, this is the first region content for the Pixel since it launched, and it might be the last, xdd
If people in other countries don’t object, it is much more likely NOT to be the last.
This is a standard promotional pack that has been available for some time (I have it). Cosmetics only, it does not have the additional premium vehicle that the original topic is about.
Again, the Chinese server had different vehicles but was separate from the other players. DMM has only ever had cosmetic items others could not have, not vehicles. This is the first time in WT history that players will be forced to play other players who have a vehicle giving them a premium progression and lineup-strengthening advantage (a very small one, yes, but still an advantage), a vehicle that they cannot own, purely by virtue of their country of origin.
If players in other countries don’t register any objection at all, next time it could be a higher BR vehicle, or in a different mode, introducing a more serious balance issue. This is in some ways, a test of our patience, too.
PS: it is also a little bit concerning that, as mentioned above, this will show as a Yak-1 to players in game, but have Yak-1B performance (20% extra HP). The names of vehicles we face should be accurate as to their characteristics.
One low tier aircraft in two years? That’s a waste of time and not worth regretting.
And this is most likely the last event.
aw 💔
Maybe mr Snail change his mind :D ?

Well, I am sorry, but actually this isn’t the first time. It’s certainly not a regional split, but on Xbox you can buy the XM1 (Chrysler) unique to that platform, while on other platforms you can buy the XM1 (GM). Yes, the tanks are the same (mostly), but they are not available to all players
Ma dude, when I say something is the first time they’ve done a regional exclusion, and you say, no they’ve actually done NON-regional exclusions before… you know you’re agreeing with me, right?
I’ll say it again, this is the first time ever in a decade and a half Gaijin has excluded the majority of players from being able to own a vehicle, but still requires them to play against that vehicle, purely on the basis of geography. This is a game that says it avoids politics, but it is now, in addition to all the other ways gameplay is different (pay/F2P, console/PC, connection quality, etc.) they are varying our gameplay based on which side of a political boundary we live on. Players have a right to know if this is going to happen more often down the road, or not, and whether there’s any limits to it (no Russian-only high tier tanks or jets for instance when they want to boost PixelStorm some more next year). All I ask.
They could have limited the use of this vehicle, and future vehicles like it, to the Russian server too at the same time, would have been more equitable in some ways. But they didn’t. They could have made it a non-premium to cancel out any progression advantage. They could have given it either the correct name or the correct horsepower so that it wasn’t a secretly superior plane for those not in the know (lots of new players at 3.0). But they didn’t. Paying players are entitled to object when they are being treated as inferior, even if only a little bit. But that’s the way wedges work.
Xbox and PSN are also unavailable in all countries; this is also a geographical restriction.
