Hey guys, what’s up with the new Lydia Litvyak pack being region-locked to Russia?
I was actually super hyped to buy this day one. I’ve been playing the Yak-1B a ton lately and really wanted to have her actual model in the cockpit, especially with the new Litvyak movie dropping soon.
It’s a huge bummer for international players who actually care about the history behind the White Lily. Why restrict such a legendary pilot to just one region right when the hype is peaking?
Is there any chance this gets a global release later?
I’m really happy I already gave up on trying to collect every single vehicle in game (already missed too much when I started, also just don’t have the time or motivation), but this just seems like a massive slap in the face for those that still do this sort of stuff… It’s not even tied to another distributor like consoles or DMM, just artificially limited to Russia for seemingly no reason.
Imagine people spending thousands of hours and copious amounts of money into this game only to fail their collection at not being Russian.
It’s also a premium. For the equivalent of $2.50 US, if you subtract GE and premium time. Russian players only. First time they have ever done a region-locked vehicle on the general servers (DMM was just cosmetics). Suspect it won’t be the last.
I was really looking forward to this one too as a VVS fan but I guess it’s not happening. Is there no way to link your gaijin account to this the way you can for DMM?
That is too high a price to pay. I will wait and see if they reconsider. Platform exclusivity things like this are baffling to me, I want to give you money, why are you making it difficult for me to give you money gaijin?
