Lvrbv 701 BR Change?

Gaijin, can we be real, there’s no way this SPAA is supposed to contend against anything in 9.7 and ABOVE and this vehicle is basically useless unless its being fired at a blind heli pilot.
I would rather bring the PsV Leopard for both ground and against air.
Not to mention, literally every OTHER 9.3/9.7 SPAA is 10x better than this vehicle in EVERY way?

Maybe replace it’s BR to a 9.0 or even 8.7?

Also, to the people who have unfortunately been grinding using this thing, has anyone had any issues with the launcher itself? Once i have a lock and attempt to fire, the camera/gun immediately snaps to either direction - causing a loss of tracking?

Someone once told me its OP because it has 200mm pen so clearly the person who never owned the vehicle knows its OP so i say send it to 13.0

Yeah clearly, they’re the type of person who think the BMP-T still needs to be buffed…

Just read through that slop fest lol

Warning i am not responsible for loss of braincells

Honestly, i don’t even think 9.3 is a good place either, there’s just SO many better options than this vehicle man, LMAO. I mean, the Gepard, Type(whatever number it is for Japan) hell, i trust the Sgt. York 10x over this thing man…

I have all the ones you just listed and the 701 is only good at taking helis and thats it
The others are better for everything else

I agree, but i luckily just got the next SPAA after it, i just hope Gaijin lowers it’s BR for the people who unfortunately decide to grind it through.

And thanks for not arguing and saying its just a skill issue, LMAO.

I play almost all nations i wont lie i used to think some nations were op then i play it and its just kinda meh, unless its Russia air god no braincells were used lol but compression has killed some really fun vehicles like my Mig 27 for air.

Regardless id say there are very few bad SPAA and a majority of them are swedish

Yeaahh, unfortunately Sweden’s been my least enjoyable grind so far. Hell, i enjoyed grinding through Israel’s hovet issue and had a more enjoyable time than this thing.

Still haven’t touched China, Japan, or France.

You’re missing out

The only better thing at that br range might be british rapier. Other spaa becomes useless as soon as pilot uses countermeasures. Or flies 5+ km away from tank battlefield. This sam, on other hand, doesnt care about flares and can engage targets at up to 7km range.

So it can seal club stuff like super mystere, mig 17, sabre, mig 15, thunderjets, il28 or even tu4 (7.7)?

What? The first thing that comes to my midn is the Roland. It sits at 9.7, has 8km range and does not care about flares.

Seems like gaijin mistake because identical german and us rolands sit at 10.0. Besides that it does care about chaff cms which can disrupt missile guidance.

The french roland doesnt have the tracking radar and the elevation is much more limited compared to the other 2

Chaff only disrupts automatic tracking, you can still manually guide the missile since the guidance is not disrupted.

That is not a mistake. The german and US ones are Roland 2 systems with better gun elevation and such while the french one is a Roland 1 system

It only would work vs straight flying wallet warriors. Good luck manual guiding wobbling (thanks to realism changes) tube vs not blindfolded jet pilot.

Well thats my bad then.

By other spaa I meant ir missiles carriers like imp chap, shilka m4, machbet, ozelot, gepard a2, sidam mistral etc. Any jet at that br can counter them by just popping flares. Or being outside their range (squadron hunter or a4e). Same goes for heli. Lvrbv at least requires pilots to maneuver, hide and change their plans for attack.

Either way I see no reason for this sam to go down to 8.7 or 9.0. It will just destroy early jets and helis. And imp chapparal from 9.0 is nowhere near to this thing btw. There are french rolands and rapier which sit on that br. But the only proper change would be moving those and other sams up for decompression in future.

Quite a few of those are 9.7. Hell the Ozelot is 9.7.

Nah, 8.7 is too low.

Ngl the track radar on this thing is quite atrocious. Doesn’t lock on crap on cloudy weather even at 1.5 km, and anything below that range is unhittable if jets get speed and maneuvre. Trees don’t allow it to (hold) lock on helicopter, sometimes even if there is a couple of trees on the way. Also elevation <40° is unfunny because, again, anything close enough and high enough is straight up immune to this crapbox. Combine that with bad weather and you are borderline useless

9.3 at best it is. Still quite good against helis and planes that are not aware of your presence (since their RWRs do not set off due to lack of search radar), and if you succeed to hold the lock, missile is agile enough to not get tricked by some maneuvering unlike Stingers and co., but otherwise it is sad if people start to understand who do they fight against.

I also might be wrong, but this topic (BR changes/suggestions) is to be discussed in “proposed BR changes” thread

Reading this, and then seeing the AMX DCA is losing it’s APDS rounds </3

im at least 70% confident MOST pilots can see the slow missle coming, but i can see what you’re getting at.

For the flares and 7km, if the pilot is smart and is going a good speed, this SPAA can barely maintain on target due to its lack of turret traverse + depression.
