After the br changes 2a4 goes from gigachad to kitten, but at least 9.3 is playable now
There wasn’t much of a change, after the br changes you still see basically the same, as most 10.0 and over went up by a single br step aswell.

The 2A4 is absolutely fine where it is lol. Just got the 2A4NL it’s a very capable tank at 10.7 just like the other 2A4s. I’m doing pretty okay in it, but I did GE DM13 because I had no interest in stock grinding with HEAT-FS at the time.
I think the 2A4s are fine at 10.7, more than fine.

Type 90s are easy to deal with. Principle applies to every tank in an up tier:

I mean yeah, if you just leave a Type 90 alone to do it’s thing it’s going to fuck up your team, but that is the same for a lot of tanks.
Got 2 back to back nuke spawns yesterday in my 2A4NL, first one with only parts+DM13 and the second with parts+fpe+DM13, exactly because of this. People just left me alone to do my thing, which ended up with those games.
decompression first and foremost if after that M1 should get m833 (not m900) leo2a4 should get dm33 (not dm53) ariete would be lower br than both presumably ussr i honestly know the least about maybe t80b similar br as ariete
Unfortunately I was asking another, also 2a4 doesn’t deserve dm33. That is Ariete’s niche and on top of that 2a4 is currently the best 10.7.

but there are other things that are not good at 10.7 br ceiling must be increased to like 15 and adjustments made for everything plus dm33 should already be on leo2a4 bc it was made in the middle of leo2a4 production just like m833 was made the same year as m1 and m1 didn’t use m735
This is utter nonsense. I completely understand you. The Leopard 2A4 is nothing but a pain, not a tank, and it was that way even at 10.3. It’s not just “uncomfortable,” it’s literally unplayable.
The Leopard 2A4 Is a Useless Piece of Metal
- The stock version is a death sentence. A tank with a main round that can’t do anything is ridiculous. At 10.3, you get a stinking HEAT round against tanks with ERA, and that’s considered a top-tier setup? How are you supposed to play with that? It’s just mockery.
- “Armor” made of cardboard. Opponents penetrate you everywhere—in the hull, in the turret, even in the gun. One little sneeze and you explode because the ammo rack detonates from the slightest touch.
- The rounds don’t kill. Even with upgraded rounds, you can’t deal proper damage. The Leopard 2A4 has DM23, while the 2AV, which is at 10.0, already has DM33. That’s absurd. You shoot, the round seems to hit, but the enemy is still alive and immediately returns fire, knocking out your entire crew.
- Size, speed, survivability. Compared to Soviet MBTs, it’s just a disgrace. A huge silhouette that’s easy to spot and hit, and at the same time, it’s not survivable. It’s a rotten light tank without its main advantages—speed and stealth.
It’s Simply “Trash,” Not a Tank
- A top-tier setup at Rank 7—and this tank literally makes you want to howl. It’s the same piece of junk the Leopard 1 was. I’ve regretted it 10 times over that I invested my points in this trash instead of the Radkampfwagen, which also has DM33.
- Comparing it to the T-80 at the same BR is just a mockery. You have 80mm of frontal armor, while the T-80 at the same BR has 180mm, plus ERA, plus a thermal sight, and even ATGMs. This is literally garbage, not a tank.
- Complete lack of advantages. It’s worse than its classmates in every aspect. Not a single advantage or balance. The round is trash, the survivability is trash, the mobility is trash. In the city, this tank catches on every corner and can be seen from 10 kilometers away.
pretty good at 10.7 imo could give it the DM33 maybe, biggest issue i have with playing 10.7 in general is just getting sucked in to constant 11.7 uptiers due to premium slop mbt spam at that br
Definetly. Compared to other tanks it lacks in pen and armor values at this high BR. Leopard 2A4 needs DM33.
I also bought it for alot money and then they bumped it up and I rarely played it, cause it has no buisiness fighting in this almost top tier bracket.
Another example was the Bo-105 chopper prem. Cost alot and soon after things were changed on it and it became almost unplayable. Range nerfs, rediculous BR bump etc.
Third would be the Lubeck frigate with 2x 100mm autocannons. Unfortnately it just has access to HE ammo. So it works somewhat vs Destroyers. But next update it will also get higher BRed and will most likely fight Cruisers with just low calibre HE. It will also end like the two previous prem units.
I always buy this for alot money and then Gajin nerfs it one way or the other. They should really stop it. Feels a bit like a ripoff.
