The Sea Harrier FRS.1 sits at an unreasonably high battle rating. Comparing them to things like the A10, AMX, Viggen, and F-5 there is no reason for it to be this high.
In simulator battles the FRS.1 late is at 11.3 this is just an insult at this point.
It is slow and its flight model is abysmal garbage only due to gaijins refusal to fix it based on the hundreds of pages of primary documents I have given them but that’s a story for another day.
As they are now they have no business being 10.7 and 11.0 (The AMX is better than the FRS.1 early in every performance metric gets the same missiles and even gets to carry LGBs yet its also 10.7)
For the FRS.1 early I think 10.0 is perfect comparing it to the A10 early at 10.3. The A10 gets a better FM a massive cannon and every weapon under the sun.
I don’t think this is accurate, considering the harrier goes close to twice as fast. It also isn’t fair to have it 0.3 higher than the already fairly good Av-8s, while having Aim-9Ls, an RWR, and a radar, compared to the Av-8s that just have Aim-9Gs.
I’ve quite enjoyed playing the Av-8A, and I’d rate it at one of the better 9.7 planes. The only issues I’ve had with it are airspawns hurting its effectiveness, and its lack of RWR.
I do think the harriers need buffs, but I don’t think moving an Aim-9L carrier to 10.0 is the way to do it.
