I’ve crashed into many unrendered trees whilst tryna get a radar missile off me in my F-14. I wonder how the guys chasing me felt.
It is not entitlement, because it is not hard to press space in a dive to kill tanks. I want WT to be balanced and enjoyable, but certain decisions from Gaijin make it hard to do so. I flat out refuse to become a free kill to someone who did nothing to earn it. I will J out cas since I cannot fight back, and I won’t feel bad if I accidentally crash into the ground when a plane I believe is op/undertiered/unfair in some way is about to kill me.
It is competitive in the sense that the goal is to win, but not in the sense that it is a team game and a game where stats matter. WT fails so hard in team communication, it is ridiculous.
I’ll change my opinion on CAS to “is unfair” because it is. I have 0 way of fighting back against it when I’m in a tank. As for planes, many stuff feels unfair, whether it be poorly balanced aircraft, or the stock grind. This perceived unfairness is where certain players feel compelled to J out/leave the match.
On the topic of fairness:
It is impossible for everything to be truly fair and equal, but almost every advantage must be earned in some way. Wether that be an opponent making a mistake, or you being the better player. There should be very little constant, natural advantages.
10/10 input, thank you for responding
Only input people like you deserve tbh
I do this.
@Mr-Durry-TTV-YT You probably want this Adding Maneuver Kills for Aircraft (and how to implement it)
It is not entitlement, because it is not hard to press space in a dive to kill tanks.
This right here, this is the entitlement. I’ve spent hours and hours researching planes, learning to dogfight, learning to bomb, learning to bomb accurately.
It’s entitlement because you don’t respect the amount of effort that goes into bombing you.
I flat out refuse to become a free kill to someone who did nothing to earn it.
Again this is classical entitlement, not just a lack of perspective a straight up dismissal of the time and energy that goes into developing and applying a skill. You only notice the shots that hit you, you don’t see all the crashes, all the misses, all the times excellent SPAA gunners rip planes out of the sky to cover you.
So far I’m getting the impression that you have a very narrow and ego-centric perspective. As far as I’m concerned you can only hold such perspectives by being in blatant denial of how much to the game there really is.

I could easily paraphrase this as: the effort required to be successful is too great and therefor I shall not make an attempt.
But the reality is, so many players are choosing to perservere and get better at the game, while you’re here complaining.
There are so many people in this community who contribute enormous amounts of time and energy identifying and classifying issues with the game but your comments in this thread and the topic thereof aren’t counted among them.
Eh, my stance on this is thus:
Im going to die either way, and that player is likely going through the same hellish grind I am. Why should I prolong their suffering and deny them a kill?
To me it makes no sense, and so while I may be frustrated, I dont J-out or anything.
It is not entitlement because you have done nothing in that match to deserve free kills. Getting 600 SP isn’t hard, and neither is bombing stuff. I respect players who have done something to strategically outplay me, or do better than me in some way, when I have had a chance to fight back.
Using skill means that you have done something that made you a better player than me. Using CAS does not make you a better player, it just allows you to have a couple easy kills. I am fine with being outplayed in a fair manner, but I am not fine if I cannot do anything about my imminent death.
I don’t get how that paraphrasing work. I complain because I want to show my dissatisfaction with the game, and that I want change. If I wanted too, I would write alot more on what I think is unbalanced, and why, but I really can’t be bothered to do so. Especially if my opinions will be dismissed as complaints.
I would be more willing to identify and describe issues with the game if there was a good place to submit actual feedback. The forums clearly don’t work, and suggestions/bug reports can’t fix many issues I have with the game.
Fair. If I’m in SPAA I wouldn’t, since they outplayed me.
Ground players try not to whine challenge
It is not entitlement because you have done nothing in that match to deserve free kills. Getting 600 SP isn’t hard.
If this were true you wouldn’t be here complaining, you’d just get in a plane and grab your ‘free kills’ like everyone else.
The whole idea of CAS being “free kill” is rooted in youtubers whining about it, people watch a single CAS compilation video and think it’s an universal experience, if CAS was as easy as they say every match would end the moment the planes start spawning
If it’s not obvious, I find the statement insulting and I think its rooted in the same sore loser mentality that has Tiger II players complaining about HEAT-FS.
It’s not like this was a tank game and war thunder added planes. Personally I think it showed a good commitment to the original players who would have researched air tech trees, being able to use them in ground battles.
Crashing j-out from far, all happens.
Ground also has the problem of SPAA just J’ing out to avoid dying to your ATGM or BOMBS
I do that lmao. I main USA and when I use ADATS or LAV-AD at top tier I just J out if I can in time to deny the kill whenever im about to get bonk by space bomber or AGM that outrange me (a lot of AGM outrange me lol). Why would I give you the kill when I can’t even fight back fairly? Paying full repair + 4 minutes crew lock is a cheap price to pay for satisfaction of knowing I denied your kill.
Yesterday I counted four planes crash in a single battle when I tried to do an energy trap on them. It’s getting ridiculous. One of them was a level 100 sealclubber in a chaika who just gave up when he realised I wasnt a complete pushover.
Expecting a fight with another player where they actually have a decent chance of killing you vs denying any gameplay.
The me264, pe8 and ju 288 turrets are incredibly powerful. One stray shot can cause coolant leak forcing disengagement. A few more can ignite the engine, shut it down or at least hamper its performance.
Even better aiming can easily cut the wings off of a latewar corsair if you manage to keep your speed and prevent them from easily diving on you.
I have even seen people fly their bombers into capture zones and fly above the fighters with pretty good result. Bombers are not helpless when used right.
Some bombers are weak but not all.
The new yak9 does feel like a universal experience.
While grinding out russian ground, i regularly see a few planes just going around racking up 10+ kills with no effort.
It is pretty annoying as it leads to the enemy staying in spawn pretty early on and you driving around on an empty map or sitting outside enemy spawn because nothing else is going on.
Proxy rewards used to be a thing until 2021/2022 IIRC. I still can´t get over its removal. No worse feeling than dodging 10 missiles, getting into a 3 minute dogfight only for the enemy either slam to the ground or get 3rd partied and you get literally 0 rewards.
Proximity rewards removal marks the day of rampat increase in killstealing and just mindless rush/headon meta. This and 16v16 really killed ARB. It’s why a big chunk of ARB pilots migrated to ground RB as well.
I think reintroducing proxy rewards would fix alot of issues.
