I share your concern about new players experience as well after I started to go through other tech trees.
However I consider it a more complex issue, so I will play a devils advocate here for a bit.
I think that new players play vs bots for a first few matches although I could mistake it with the mobile version, where it is definitely a case.
New players come from different backgrounds, so they could have different skill level based on their experience from other games which on its own can create big skill gap right from the start, so restricting seasoned players from playing with them, wouldn’t necessarily create more even playing field on its own.
Existing player base is incentivized to progress and play on higher ranks, so only small percentage plays 1. Rank and completely restricting them from 1. Rank could lead to significantly longer queue times due to less people there and thus worse experience for new players.
New players often play their first matches along with their experienced friends and restricting it, would make this impossible.
War Thunder players when they start only fight 1 bot match afterwards every match is players.
A majority of new players will play the US, Germany and Russia.
We are not incentivized to progress and play higher BRs. We often do not play higher brs cause it does the complete opposite. However, having an incomplete vehicle doesn’t feel right.
New Players don’t always play with experienced players.
4 the idea of restricting it to only new players defeats the point of player choice. There are many ideas->Different matches for experienced however just like in real life inexperience often learns from observation from new ones.
ok ok If you are annoyed by lvl 100 players on a low br then it is forbidden for a low lvl to buy a high br plane or tank, I am also already annoyed by a lvl 8 in a Su25 or Phantom that will tear it to the ground or kill teammates
Sometimes top tier just aint fun. Bots, cheaters, and even without them it is a lot easier to get gaijined by the server or by volumetric stuff. So a lot of the times level 100 players would take a detour and have some low tier. I own a 4.0 Italy lineup with half premiums, it yields a lot of SL. Britain 5.3 as well.
I went back through the low BR’s and found vehicles I never finished modding. They were decaled the way I did them back then ,it was fun to try them after so long. Surprised how slow and underpowered many of them were .Good fun.
Players have every right to play at any level and I think so many people on this forum would have you apologise for everything you do.
I have no intention of justifying me playing at 1 or 2 BR to anybody.
Isn’t it funny. Some can hardly wait to be at the top. And the others have more fun further down. Everyone ends up arguing and nobody really knows what it’s all about because they’re only looking out for their own advantage.
I myself have no fun above 8.0 because I don’t have the skill. Now I started learning the art of aerial combat three weeks ago and I’m allowed to unlock aeroplanes. See you in the lowtier friends.
Here is problem with lvl 100 they can’t win against top tier against veteran players and in lower tier they already have ace crew for they low tier tank.
I look at the comments and consider some comments ridiculous that I will even said “shame on you” with answers like watching youtube = “get good” answer. Is youtube streamers going to carry you to victory = no but you will learn how to use your tank properly.
Gajin need put proper matchmaking so that new players get a change to play for example if you play rank 1 battles as veteran player (lvl 50-100) in the nation you fully already unlocked your reward should -1000% because you are ruin new players fun and discourage people who like to beat new players in rank 1.
The biggest shock for me was BR .I would play a game in the B1 Ter and nobody could touch me then in other games it wouldn’t happen and I wondered why. I knew nothing of BR then. I discovered that the most unfair thing about the game was a inbuilt part of the game.
Playing against higher level players when I first started playing WT is one of the things that helped me improve at the game. As others have stated, playing the low tiers is fun. Also working through unlocking camouflage for vehicles on the lower tier ground vehicles for most nations.
Yes, modern people for some reason love modernity. And they don’t like tanks from the late Paleolithic times. Everyone is running to the top rank.And what, any archaeologist is now accused of beating babies? hehe
If you wanted to push the limit of money printing faster than the Weimar republic you can also buy the pz4g and Hungarian Bf110. I dont have such needs though.
Anyways, most of them are rank 3 so you will also do tasks very fast. Given how flexible it is wagers are also easy to do.

I find it kind of odd to hear you say this. You paid your quick way to top tier russia, where you do “not so good” really. It also looks as if you did this via a lot of ODL-ing. I can’t quite piece your comments and your player card together.
I don’t think it will help to lull players in a protected environment and only release them later. We had that in the past, and the forum had all these “I was an a ace for a while and then all hell broke loose!” threads.
And you seem to be the type who skipped the first part of that sentence. So what are you trying to present here?
