Let's talk about this game Gaijin

Got a replay server link? I wanna check this out b/c that’s obviously not how it’s supposed to work.

And just as a heads up, trees may not actually affect radar. They’re a cosmetic thing in game

Go to 6:20 to 6:40 and dont mind my chat messages if you can see em, also look at sensor view to see what im talking about
https://warthunder.com/en/tournament/replay/497018211110816110

I’ll check it out after this match I’m in

Damn Shakesphere, is that you?

The current state of existing bugs obviously shows:

  1. They don’t know how to fix those bugs
  2. The devs can’t afford to waste their work day to fix the minor bugs that could never affect the core game experience
  3. They only focus on making new premiums, mechanic features without any bug (hopefully)
  4. The Devs just act their wages

Just hit return on your keyboard or type it into notes so you can make headings or put some images to space it apart

To buy Goon BT or not to buy Goon BT?
That is the question.

Holy wordplay lol

Yeah… welcome to top tier BS of where Gaijin gives Russia a SPAA from 2025 for some reason. They got an instant lock as your air spawn is within POV of where he perched up at.

You spawn at 6:14.785
Missile launch is at 6:29.385. You aren’t behind hard cover and, unfortunately, foliage doesn’t affect radar in game.
Missile impact is at 6:38.972. Enemy Pantsir SM-SV had a hard lock on you the entire time without a break in lock. Sadly, I’m going to have to put this one down as skill issue on not defending.

Now, with this shown though, a proper bug response would be to include the match replay and the .clog (I can explain how to get to that if need be) and generate one for how trees and foliage don’t affect radar

The current state and, especially, the support system need attention. I think Gaijin has too much on its plate and is understaffed to fix all the bugs while also launching new projects. Not to mention all the other games they manage, plus the infantry content that’s coming, which I’m not happy about and don’t want in the game. I want to play tanks, planes, and ships, not infantry.

As someone who plays every day and has spent a lot of money — and I mean a lot — on the game, I was going to share proof of my purchases, but I’m honestly embarrassed by how much I’ve put into it. Creating a support ticket, waiting days with no reply, and then being sent to another page just so other people can confirm the issue before anything gets done is completely wrong. People don’t report or check whether a problem has already been posted because nothing seems to get done anyway.

I think Gaijin has become complacent. They know they don’t have much competition, but they still need to take better care of the players who have put so much time into the game. Please, Gaijin, turn this around.

The part that gets me is that they already have War Thunder and Enlisted. Why they’re making more games when they already have two that fit their needs with established game engines makes zero sense to me. I don’t mind infantry being added (it’s whatever. I don’t personally think we needed it as you play as the infantry. Now, being able to place infantry Ai units would be dope. Imagine how useful IFVs could be and then you could also add other support vehicles to expand the TTs or for specific game modes) but the fact it’s another game mode with more CQC maps is so dumb. We can’t get naval in a good spot but we’re adding more mechanics to an already stressed engine they struggle to get right currently? Hell, we can’t even do Ground EC (which I’ve seen custom maps of. They’re fun as hell).

I 100% agree that the lack of competition is what lead to this. They took the crown from War Gaming and then didn’t know what to do with it.

Because it is realistic, atleast in the sense thats more realistic than its competitor (wotb, wot armored warfare etc)

Just spawn CAS 15km away from the AO
95Ya6M already at 2km heading toward me
Life is good.

dont get confused between gaijin the developer and gaijin the publisher, theyre two very different entities

enlisted, crossout etc are not developed by gaijin but by other companies that just ‘use’ as a publisher (to handle the marketing, probably some of the PR and often the purchasing)

gaijin themselves only develop warthunder and aces of thunder, hence why they arent really worried about developing infantry because to some extent enlisted is a competitor even if theyre both standing under the same umbrella

Was the new FPS game not going to be made by Gaijin? I know Active Matter is from the Gaijin devs. But, unless this got proven elsewhere, the only reason why Enlisted was made was because Gaijin Entertainment funded it entirely.

Also, both Enlisted and WT use the Dagor Engine so any limitations and tricks found on either game production would apply to the other. Why they need a 3rd game in the same genre on the same engine doesn’t make sense when they could pool the resources into one or the other they already have established and wouldn’t pull the player base from.

Edited: added more as I was bouncing around with some IRL drama.

its not

Where’s that from b/c online I see reports saying it’s coming from Gaijin itself (not the Gaijin entertainment)? Though I do see Steam now says it’s Matter Team

the original announcement on steam

its just a game made in dagor engine, with shared assets, just like enlisted and CRSD, so itll have similar vibes to warthunder but warthunder developer resources are not being used for it

So there’s now another DEV team made of people from another DEV team and new ones to make a new game? Sounds like they just made another subsidiary company that way if it flops it doesn’t take down the main one.

yeah probably, though itll probably be leftover devs from CRSD and devs who didnt want to work on enlisted anymore with new blood.

its still not warthunder devs, though warthunder devs probably have a somewhat vested interest in letting it go through so they can ‘steal’ a lot of the mechanics and assets for the warthunder infantry

these projects make warthunder infantry easier to make not harder as many of the devs on these projects probably didnt want to work on warthunder or something and now theyre in at least a roundabout way making stuff thatll be used for warthunder or its some sort of vetting for new warthunder devs
