In that case that is more troublesome, but I still think a tree shouldn’t only hinge on top tier.
I’d still argue in favor of Switzerland even without a proper top tier tank. Militaries change over time anyways and Switzerland is going to adopt either an upgrade or new tank anyways.

as an ending to this discussion i would just like to point out, that the swiss army or airforce does not even have enough vehicles to warrant a full tech tree.
regardless of what maximum br the top vehicle can be placed at.
due to origins or design and production, the country with the most in common with swiss vehicles (under the context) is germany
I just asked a guy (haven’t claimed anything) how he knows majority of people are interested in top tier only, then you started having a meltdown about that and to prove your point, you started using things you pulled straight out of your ass. Just look at:

It cannot. We’re slowly but surely moving on from DM53 level of performance with the acceptance of DM73/M829A3 by the devs, in ± 3 years we will move onto DM83/M829A4 most likely, both of which severly outperform whatever the RUAG can use (and it cannot use DM73 even).
As far as I’m aware the RUAG package also assists in kinetic protection.
RUAG hasn’t shown anything that confirms the package they developed would be capable of providing increased KE protection performance, so at best it’s an assumption, better yet, it was produced at a time when COIN operations were the primary focus of all NATO members, so their primary requirement would’ve been HEAT protection.
I’d disagree with the latter point, as Switzerland extensively modified French designs during WW2 while also buying German stuff.
I think they have enough for aviation, but that is more subjective than even the things mentioned here earlier.

as for aviation, id surmise that at least 1 vehicle in every rank would be the min for a tree. but as of right now, i doubt that the swiss have that, (we cant add the F-35 and the F-18 isnt here yet)
Many of the recent updates featured much more non-top tier stuff than top tier ones, so I wouldn’t really call them to be focused on top tier lmao.

That’s his point, no? Modified French stuff would’ve went to France, whilst German stuff would be a copy-paste. In the long term, Switzerland would become a non-important tech tree due to their lack of proper end game line-up, and in short term it would be seen as a C&P of Germany & France. Only the most dedicated players would stick around to playing the Swiss.
The only reason why PSO is even “top tier” is because underneath it’s still a 2A5, but all RUAG designs are based on 2A4s identical to batch 5 production vehicles (so they’ve got armour 1 or 2 generations older), and the add-on armour was mostly focused on CE protection. Then again, as Shini pointed out, only mock-ups were produced, so they wouldn’t be eligible for addition anyways…

They focused on air and added three aircraft and four helis but have also added 15 ground vehicles ? (Kings of Battle)

Also, only 5/22 (23%) vehicles were actually top tier. So much for the focus, isn’t it ?
