TBF, Germany didn’t domestically make those vehicles so… i can see why they dont have them yet. Im all for eastern block vehicles. All this copy paste is bad for everyone, half of America you can get in other TT, the Abrams isn’t even really that worth it for all the Sherman’s, perishing’s. For everyone to get a kiowa, f15, f16s is just annoying. America doesnt have the best f16, the French do, the best f15? nope japan. Italy has the best 2a7, you get my point. These TT should get those tanks when the home nation has its version. For example, later 2a7s could be added to compare to the 2A7HU.

Trying to read through this long thread but its too long so I’ll just ask some questions I have.
- Has there ever been an update where anyone could say it was Germany focused?
- What are everyone’s opinions on German top tier air being one, if not, the worse to play?
I know I’m of the opinion of wishing I could sell the ICE for 1 SL with how unfavored (even though “its the best phantom in game”) it is. - Thinking about the ICE, has anyone found anything in regards to it having a HMD/HMS? More modern sight?
I’ve tried using it in sim but its even worse there, can’t even joke that its unplayable there.
I know someone is probably going to reply to this saying the British “FOX-3” Tornado is worse than the ICE but both of them are 2 sides of the same coin. One has better maneuverability while the other has more countermeasures. Let’s not forget they still haven’t fixed the ICE getting 120B’s (even though its a real simple fix, doesn’t affect game-play, and has already been acknowledged).

Having F-4F ICE being a higher BR than the first Typhoon would be wild.

I disagree. 2A7HUs roof add-on armor & RCWS aren’t really “advantages” per se, they’re trade-offs since the tank is about one ton heavier than the 2A7V, thus slower, and also easier to take out with HE rounds because now it has a gigantic RCWS sticking out and asking to be hit.
2A7Vs upper plate has also been fixed to a state where it can actually deflect APFSDS, so it’s actually more armored from the front as well.

i know it has sight there, but isn’t there additional composite behind the sight? so it should be the same for all right cheek right? but in protection analysis there a small weakspot with ~200mm KEP

Updates are very rarely nation focused in general ourside of new tree/sub tree releases (even those are not always the focus).
While not purely Germany focussed Germany tend to feature heavily on implemented content and while they lack in certain avenues top tier air, a top tier light tank?
The majority of the update has always given something to Germany. It’s very rare Gaijin just give one nation a new edition now while forsaking the other “peer” nations.

AVerage German additions in recent years quantity wise are the same as minor nations

Germany on average is receiving 3 vehicles per update.
Each time that has been some kind of near top tier vehicle.

This is only the case for 2024 so far. 2023 was a great year for Germany where they were identical to the US both in terms of quantity and quality of new additions.
And even then it’s hard to compare because for a lot of nations the new additions are getting hard carried by air for the last 2ish years, with ground being mostly neglected for these trees.

Every update Germany received a new high tier vehicle.
Last update it was the Puma and the new high tier event vehicle.
By every other nation, you mean Germany, USA, Russia and Sweden.

Quality is subjective, Quantity is objective.
Germany does not break the top 3 even in 2023 for only air and ground additions. It still got average, tied with France, beaten by the US, USSR and Italy. I’m aware Italy received a sub-tree, all of which are still valid additions to the Italian tree regardless. Most Nations are still within the ± 3 margin of Germany.
Germany received an average amount of vehicles in 2023.
*Not including naval as it will skew the results against the nations that don’t have naval trees
