This is wrong. The KH-29L AGMs it carries have a range of 13KM which is further than any other nations SPAA. It also has the R73 which is the best IR missile in game. Being subsonic isn’t a huge weakness. KH-29TE has a 30km range, far out pacing any SPAA in game.
So it does in fact have long range ATGMs. I guess you don’t consider Mach 1.75 30KM long range…
13km, which are launched at 12.5km maximum, which is within range of all SPAA in the game.
Cause by the time it’s even 4km there, you’re 10km away from SPAA.
In range of its OWN SPAA Only. Which isn’t really an issue for it now is it? And are you still going to ignore that it ALSO carries a 30KM AGM on the same bird?
ADATS is 10km, Crotale is 12km, TOR M1 is 12km.
By the time KH-29L is half way to target, the Su-25T is dead from the ADATS missile cause it can only lase in the forward direction.
30km TV guided munitions don’t mean much.
All of which are outranged by BOTH the KH-29L and KH-29TE. AND it carries the best IR missile in game the R73.
Just because a pilot hasn’t learned how to use it, doesn’t mean the tools haven’t been given to them. At least the USSR has them… Other nations have been denied competent SPAA that isn’t out ranged by USSR for the entire life of the game… If you can’t fire an ATGM from 30KM away that goes nearly twice your own speed, before you are in range of the SPAA (remember that’s just the max range, it hasn’t locked or fired yet) and then close the distance to the missile it fired…
That is on the pilot. You have 20km to impact that target before it even fires. You also are not required to fly AT the target at anything above stall speed. You can always slow down, it won’t effect the inbound missile during guidance.
The fact that you use the 90M and not the T80BVM as an example already shows that you either have no clue what the fuck you are talking about or are intentionally using a shit vehicle.
If you are using the 29L you are once again putting yourself at an intentional disadvantage. Using the 29Ts allows you to fire at maximum range and then dip as soon as you fired. Or, if you feel like using the Vikhirs, you can just spam multiple and have them blow up the SAMs fired by the SPAA.
Alternatively, use the KH38s, that have more than double the range of all western SAMs.
@Grossaaaa
Armor + forward speed matters more than no turret armor + similar forward speed.
HSTVL is 100% faster in acceleration, its round pens 50mm more, its round weighs 110% more [spalling], its gun depresses more, its optics are overall slightly better.
The only downside HSTVL has over 2S38 as a light tank is thermal generation.
The reason HSTVL wasn’t adopted IRL is cost, otherwise it’d be the best auto-light in service.
Well isn’t the HSTV-L we have in game supposed to be kind of like a tech demo anyway? There’s a “production” version of the HSTV-L that supposedly fixes a lot of the cost issues.
In fact, the snail canceled pretty function of the HSTV-L, like VT-rounds and fire rate which is so inferior to the 2s38 without them. Hence once u talked about reality, its supports are likely to talk about so call “balance”, on the contrary when we wanna “balance” to biased vehicles russians have, now it’s the “reality” time.
What’s interesting now I found, the producer of this game has successfully separtate players into different parts, which is smart to a game manufacturer.
