AGREED, everything moved up. to make room between WW2 and post-war stuff.
But Object 279 remained and got more juicy targets added to its BR breakfast bracket ;)
Tanks like the Leo2K or AV ( before it moved up) could handle it, but so could the 279 handle them.
Indeed the old 10.0 Leo2A4, M1, CR Mk2 and 3, etc. were more then capable to defeat Object, but since they moved to 10.3, a 9.0 BR for the Object-279 seems more then fair. all the other 8.7’s move to 9.0 any way, because most have thermals and DM33 or equivalent.

AH yes. Me, the US Main. Who has 128 unlocked vehicles, 60 spaded (mostly planes), 138 german vehicles unlocked 58 spaded, 60/40 Planes/Tanks and 120 soviet vehicles with 52 spaded 30/70 Planes/Tanks.
And Mind you i don not only hate russia in WT. That is a general hate, but not towards objects, but rather the people. I am pretty good at seperating objects and people.

I hope they correct it’s side “bulges” armor thickness and the missing internal turret race which should provide a bit more armor overlapping with the turret ring while giving it the 130mm APDS, so it can stay at 9.0 or even 9.3.

As an owner of a 279 myself the thing wasn’t even funny to play at its date of introduction, you just press W and click on things you find.
And if you see an APFSDS armed mbt, it probably means you can still 1 pen and 1 shot it.
The reload and post pen damage are also broken and let’s not mention the stabilizer.
You should just be glad gaijin didn’t give it its boat-like maneuvrability like it had IRL.

Except it didn’t, because one side could point click, while the other couldn’t. Also aiming at a weak point on a tiger 2, say like the turret face isn’t exactly the same as trying to hit a driver port on a tank that doesn’t even need to stop to fire.

Exactly, it is a heavy tank, a concept which had been proven obsolete towards the end of the Cold War. So why should it fight early MBT’s?
The 279 is not some early MBT, it is a Heavy Tank. Don’t force it to be something that it just isn’t.
Also, encountering a Strike Drone from the far future is fine, but some Tiger II 105 that is visually nigh indistinguishable from the Sla.16 or the H Variant offends historical accurracy. What convenient hypocritical Double Standards.
