Datamine numbers > hearsay.
But yeah, if you want T-80 ammo to explode, intentionally shoot it.
Shooting near ammo has a higher chance of not getting enough fragments on target.
Actually the Object 279 is like a direct upgrade to the IS-7 in the firepower department
- Higher penetration
- Bigger ready rack ammunition
- Better reload speed when aced - 8.6 seconds vs 10 seconds from IS-7
- STAB
IS-7 will have a KV-2 reload speed once you fired 7 rounds, but I like the reverse speed though.
The other day I hit a T-72 straight in the ammo and it shows “critical hit, ammo” but it doesn’t explode.
Sent the replay as a bug report and got answered "not a bug, ammo doesn’t always explode.
Well then give me the datamined numbers.
Also hard since russian tanks don’t spall for some bias reason.
You unfortunately can’t. You can only seeThat’s the worst part about our statcards. You can’t also see player kills in a plane, only total air kills. It’s extremely hard to watch your own progress if you simply do not get the accurate data.
But that’s beside the point, 4,5 KPB with 4,7K/D is not something any real player would get. And it’s not just G.55S, a ton of planes in TS beat top 10 WT players by a mile.
That answer is true. Ammo is not a 100% instakill. If the round doesnt have enough energy or rng says “no”, it wont pop.
Exactly, and way better armour.
But weirdly it happens mostly on Russian tanks.
When you hit the back of a Tiger II or AMX it explodes 100% of the time, but on the T- series it like 50/50
i mean, i got a 4.25 k/d in one of my planes so 4,7 doesnt seem that far off for a better player.
They spall. If your round goes through a fuel tank, just like on Abrams, it doesn’t spall as much as it would through normal armor.
And don’t have the link on hand right now.
But yeah, start intentionally aiming for ammo.
Please don’t be like the players that faced me that never shoots idler wheels or aims for ammo period.
Just gonna check something for the spalling and I’ll be back.
For the secind part, hell no ! Aiming for the ammo is highly dangerous as it might do strictly nothing, and I face russian MBTs all day long. You have to aim for the turret to be sure to not die right after your shot.
Dude do you even read what I’m writing? 4,7 K/D is pretty average. 4,5 KPB is basically god-level and most likely around top 3 results, and top 3 guys are obnoxious stat padders using the most OP planes available (they are also pretty damn good of course). I have already explained to you, that 4,7 KPB with 4,5K/D would mean our godlike player dies almost every battle. 4,5 KPB and 9:1 K/D would make sense. But the numbers we’re seeing, especially coupled with win ratio, are super dumb. Good players survive most of the battles they win.
You can check my stat card and look at my kills and deaths. In some planes I have over 2,5 KPB and my K/D is basically always twice as good as KPB or better and I’m playing borderline suicidial.
Me that only ever aims for ammo on T-80s unless their turret/UFP is the only thing showing.
Object 279 I just aim center mass with HEATFS tho. Gets the job done.
I guess it also depends on if it counts when I leave a match right after its starts because I used to just leave the match if it was a full uptier and that would skew the numbers. On the matches I played, I usually got 4 kills.
Which Russian tank that you hit the back of the turret? The T-54s or T-55s will not have ammo inside the turret if the user brings a total of 26 ammo, King Tiger has ammo in the turret, and the AMX series stores ammo at the back of the turret which guaranteed an ammo rack when hit. Afaik if you shot the T-54/55 in the back of the turret it’s always one-shot.
Just checked the spalling. On a T-72, in order to have just a little bit of spalling, you have to aim the side at 90° because from the front or 3/4 front, the fuel tank will absorb everything (which is stupid).
This “mechanic” ugely benefits russian tanks as the fuel tank taked an enormous amount of space in them. On western tanks, they are way smaller and usually on the floor of the tank.
That’s what we call bias. A mechanic applied to everyone but benefiting to only one.
I don’t … we’re talking about carousels autoloaders.
Then it’s not bias. And it’s rather realistic as fuel quenches the round’s heat.
USA’s fuel tanks flat out stops a lot of rounds. Will even stop Obj 279’s big round.
For russian mbts, aim for the center of the lower plate. Easy kill. I would also recommend against relying on spall to set off ammo. I guess we could blame NATO tank design doctrine for not surrounding their ammo with fuel tank?
I highly doubt you did. 4 kills on average is a result that basically would make you top 10 WT Air RB player. You do not seem like one. Leaving battle will help you get better K/D, but will ruin your KPB. And Thunderskill takes into account all battles you enter. But the “overal” stat numbers for a vehicle are absolute lies.
You can calculate K/D and KPB yourself for every aircraft, but you only get your overal number, you can’t check last 30 days, you can’t ignore stock grind, etc. Etc. But it’s still useful data, especially if, like me, you barely ever kill AI planes.
